Do you think there is a good enough market in KC as a whole? In certain areas there are, but in the Northland there isn't. There's been a shitload of KC releases that've come out that I'm just now hearin' about.

There used to be a lil local section at Sam Goody up North, but this was back in late '97, early '98.

I remember them havin' cds like....

57th Street RDVs- Its On Now (OG)
57th Street RDVs- Its On Now (Summer Edt.)
57th Street RDVs- My Dogs For Life
Cku Ku Bird- Livin' 2 Ryde
Micah- Now & Forever
Mr. Stinky- Armed Criminal Action
Pharmacy
Rush ~N~ Roulette (Vol. 1)
Twinn City High Rollin'

But those days are long gone. Now if you wanna find anything, you have to go to 7th Heaven, Streetside, or wherever it is you buy cds.

The fact that the cd's arent' they is really on the artists - not the stores. Unless you have distribution, which most locals cats don't; its a matter of going to every store you want your cd in and putting it there. The stores are therefore at the mercy of the artists, who are notoriously lazy. Alot of KC artists have fallen off cause they don't really put in the work like they used to.

Heat is right,
Most artist outta KC are on that lazy tip when it comes to promoting. Then the worst thing that they do is sound like the average nigga outta KC all dull on their music and same ol' same ol' sounds, and try to sell you a CD and you aint even heard of the nigga.

I am shopping my shit around as soon as I finish the whole thing, and then try to get into peoples ears and homes like Tech did but in my own way, and earn peoples trust through my music, then try to sell them something. You can't do that shit these day's not distributing your stuff correctly.

Really, you can have all the distributing you want, you can even have 100 copies in each store, but if you just popped up outta no where and want to sell your shit, you might as well have only 2 copies in each store, cause no one is going to buy it. I will have to get a low budget video or something and do a lot of shows first, cause promoting the shit correctly and being a down to earth nigga when your in public is the way to do it.

Yo Heat, I'm about to check out the track Trajik did with Tech and Big Chris... I bet it's gonna be tight...
