Seems like you can't find any underground songs anymore. I remember back in the day with Napster you could download any song that was ever made, but the record industry is out to get people now. I can't even find shit like 3x Krazy - Stackin Chips anymore, and that will never be in print again, so the only way I can ever hear it is through downloads.

The files are corrupted on purpose by paid users, no fault of Kazaa itself. You just got to keep trying. It's taken me up to 30 downloads till I can find a track that usuable (i.e. Ashanti's "Rain on Me") and sometimes I just give up after 30 or so (i.e. David Banner's "Get Down"). But you're right, the more popular the song, the harder it will be to pull down a good copy.

if ya'll are talkin about the same thing like when the song you download turns out to be a loop, this is what i do when i use kazaa...

before you click to download a file, hover your mouse over the file and a little info window about that file will pop up. this window shows the size, album, artist, etc. you want to look for the "filename" in this window. if the filename is in all capitals or capitalizes whole words, then its probably the single or a loop file. i found that the real tracks usually have a 3-letter tag in the file name or just use all lower case (like wcr or rns). after you start paying attention to the file names you'll be able to avoid the fake files and be able to recognize the real ones easier...

hope that makes sense...

It's not kazaa's fault that people try to rip CDs using a shitty ass MP3 ripper getting songs off a scratched up CD which skips like fuck.
