Don't know if any of you caught this... I just saw it this morning for the first time, as I'm sure they'll play it 7000000 more times over the coming days...

Can someone let me know if I missed something, because I wasn't watching very closely, but...

Kanye didn't visit any white people.

I respect anyone's effort to help soldiers in need but it would've been nice to see them give assistance to people who need it a little more.. Like say, soldiers who came back without an arm or a leg, or both.

Regardless, it's good PR for Kanye West, at the sponsors expense.

Well MTV paid off a lot of debt for them, but it's not as if they were just back home and down on their luck. They all claimed to suffer from PTSD I'm pretty sure.

One guy was cryin' like "they trained me to be a killer, they smash it into your brain..." Blah blah blah. WTF did you think the military was for?

at least he's getting PR while letting soldiers tell their story?
Do you honestly believe the segment was about letting soldiers tell their story rather then a 'good intentions' PR event? Why do you think they got a celebrity to announce what the sponsors are going to do for them? Sway did almost all the talking/asking when it comes to the stories, and could have easily done the show by himself...but then it wouldn't have had the same viewership without Kanye West.

Plus they weren't really telling much of a story other than "I'm scared to leave my house, and I can't keep a job". That was the jist of the stories I believe. And to be fair, that dude Kanye brought the mic for, they also paid his rent for the remainder of the year so he could follow doctors orders and not work until whatever it is they put him on begins to work.

I think the show was interesting and kind hearted, but I'd bet that there would have been a white person on the show had it been any other artist. The really sad part about it is, the second I heard Kanye was doing that shit, my first thought was "I'm going to watch this because I bet he doesn't visit any white people".
