ummmmm....aren't those the same thing? Anyway....maybe next year we'll have a panel of voters and give everyone a hand in who they think wins what. Lyricist had a solid debut, but It just wasn't anything compared to the years of Kaliko (who won w/o an album), Yung Gunz (who solidified themselves as the aire to the RDV's reign as top group in the city), and Paul Mussan (who didn't need Tech to be on his shit to make a great album, something too many people try and do). Another big omittion would be R.E.S. He got the #4 album of the year and nothing for rookie of the year.
So I really think a small selection committee would be better next year, but the final decision will still come down to the staff at www.techn9nehq.com
