Also, here is a story we heard second hand, so don't quote us on the details. Tech N9ne was on tour about 7 years with Talib Kweli. During that tour, Kanye West was Talib Kweli's hypeman. Before he ever had a CD out. When he was virtually unheard of. Kanye became friends with Krizz Kalico and played him some of his songs and asked him for advice. Kalico told him he did not think the old school speed up samples would work for the mainstream. Good thing Kanye did not listen to Kalico.
