I downloaded it off kazaa lite. I don't think it comes out on video till august. You'd think it would be out by now, hmmm, maybe someones preventing it from coming out??

What I liked about it is it isn't an anti-gun movie, don't let anybody tell you different. It pointed out the fact that canada has millions of gun owners as well and they only have like 100 gun related murders a year in the whole country. It pretty much is an anti-media film, showing how all the other countries are pretty much just like US as far as what people are exposed to, but our media over here all they talk about is killings and shit to make people all scared and shit...

Its not at all, people are just judging it that way. Like I said, he pointed out the fact that all these other countries have guns and yet their is extreemly less crime then the US. He did however point out that guns are really easy to get here, and that people that probobly shouldn't have or need a gun has them, which people might have interpreted as anti-gun... But like when he was showing this group all out shooting guns and he kinda portrayed them as crazy, the emphasis wasn't on the fact that they were shooting guns, it was that these people were all scared and shit talking about defending themselves like a war is about to break out. You should watch the movie and judge for your self, but as a person who is into guns I can assure you it is not an anti-gun movie...

I used to like that Micheal Moore cat, but nowadays he has turned into such a mushbrained pussy ass nonsense spewing fruitcake, I can't take him seriously at all.

This movie is not a documentary, it simply LOOKS like one. Few people are aware of the "creative editing" in the film which purposefully and deceptively presents quotes out of context, and mixes and matches quotes from different speeches together in an attempt to fuel resentment towards the NRA.

Now I am not a gun enthusiast, or an NRA supporter, but I am even less of a supporter of a intentionally deceptive "documentary" which uses cheap tactics such as that to make its' point. The reason they had to edit the movie like that is because on their own and in their proper context, the quotes would not stir emotions and would be largely useless and inconsequential.

Have you seen "Roger & Me"?? That is Moore's first film, and that one actually IS a real documentary, and is 1000000 times better than Bowling for Columbine. Shit is classic.

It's an OK film, and I actually agree with alot of it, but it's kind of like cheating to use those cheap tricks, especially when the film is presented as being a "documentary".

"Roger & Me" is a case of having a legitemate gripe, and presenting the case as such without needing to resort to that type of shit.
