whats the easiest way to transfer the music i got on my desktop on to their.......i got to much to start making data cds........itll take me damn near 20 data cds.........anybody got ideas on the cheapest and eaiest and fastest way on how i can get my music on my laptop from my desktop

put them in .Rar files
then upload them to a upload sites that let you do GB's at a time and then just save the links and download them from ur laptop

Get a crossover ethernet cable. Connect the 2 computers through thier ethernet ports, then you have to change the IP addresses of both computers.
Comp 1: 192.168.0.1
Comp 2:192.168.0.2
Use: 192.168.0.1 as the Default gateway.

You'll have to reboot both computers and then they each computer should show up in the others network connections. Also, make sure you share the folder with your music or you wont be able to see it. YOu can now browse your old computer and drag and drop all the files you want. I hope this makes sense...

usb would take hella long unless its 2.0....if it has firewire you can use the old computer as a slave...I'm glad I got a mac, that shit is fuckin easy

This is the best way, but it should be 192.168.1.1 for Gateway. You have to make sure it's a "Crossover Cable" and not your ordinary ethernet cable or it won't work.
