I just picked up this cd. I was kinda disappointed in there being samples on every song. I know Jay Tee was going for a theme, but personally everytime I hear a common old school song that is constantly sampled on anyones album, i skip it. It really aint anything new to me, unless they took the time to reaaaally twist it up and make sample apart of a song that sounds different the the original. Anyway, Im not hating on Jay Tee, I was just kinda disappointed cause this is the first solo from him I buy, after hearing him on alot of other shit, and on Velvetism, i thought somethin from him would be just as tight.

I havent heard it enough to judge the song content and all that though, Im just commenting on the choice of beats

What is a tight Jay Tee solo that doesnt use samples? Im still lookin to cop more of his shit

peace

Shit, CPW is my favorite Jay Tee/N2Deep album since The Golden State. Don't get me wrong, I've liked all the other releases too, it's just those two are my favorite with High Caliber being a close 3rd. But I can smell where yall are comin from. I was suprised by the beats on CPW too. But in my case it was a very pleasant suprise. That motha fuckin disc is still in my rotation and I got it the day Jay Tee started pushin them on the net. I just think track for track it's one of his best efforts. Plus he goin HARD AS FUCK ON THESE BEEZIES!!!!!

ESFCE, hit me with an IM with your address and what 40 Ounce Record cd you want and I'll mail you out a free one. I want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. This album was different because I tried to expose people to different types of music. Most people never heard "Curtis Mayfield", but the song "Hard Times" is a sample of his song. Alot of people never heard the "Bee Gees", but "Can't Figure It Out" is a sample of them. Snoop also used the same sample on his new album. "In The Game" is a sample of the "Miles Davis" song "Doo Wop"."Do It Again" is some old school "Staple Singers". "Pimpin" is a "Commodores" sample that most people have never heard. I just tried to do something different on this album. My next album is all original beats, but it will also be different than anything else I have ever done. I think I keep my old fans by giving them something new each release and I gain new ones by having something that doesn't sound like everything else that is out there. Anyways, thanks to everybody for the feedback and the support. Peace......
