I was listening to Power 105.1 this morning to the Ed Lover show and Joe burden was on this morning responding to a article in Vibe magazine listing the be
st MCs ever. They put him up against Meth and Meth won. He got on the radio saying that the Method Man of today would get his head torn off in a line for line battle on stage 32 bars each.

I agree... well except for the last part

I'm not a huge Budden fan... but he's more exciting than Birdman lol

but yeah... in a battle Budden would kill a lot of rappers... but Meth is overall better IMO

Who the hell is Joe Budden anyways? Some guy that had one hit song and a pretty weak solo album that runs around bumping his gums about how great he is?

I am gonna go with METH. Becaue Meth is one of the greatest story tellers. He throws Metaphors like snow balls.

He's bitchin about that best rapper shit still.....well if he's serious about it then he shouldnt be talkin bout just battlin.....he should consider putting together a dope album as also being a part of being the "best rapper ever" and realize that he hasn't put out an album that can fucc wit anything Meth has done solo or with Wu Tang....

like i said before....dudes feelin himself way too much these days cuz he with slaughterhouse.....this dude is tha weak link in slaughterhouse anyway

I've never disliked Joe Budden but he's kind of out of line on this one, wanting to challenge Meth (who himself has said he isn't "a battle MC") because of a list that Meth had nothing to do with. Budden's beef, if he really has to start one based on a list that he said has no credibility anyway, should be with Vibe. Dragging someone else into it so that they are forced to defend their position and state an opinion (thus playing into Budden's game) is bullshit.

Going at someone for attention, or to start (or jump-start) a career is part of Hip-Hop and I would never want that to change, but at this point Method Man isn't even one of the guys to go at like that. Yes he's still putting out albums and such but he's not looked at as being one of the guy's who's "on top" right now so I personally can't even feel it in the context of "Let me show you that I'm better than this guy who is being championed".

I feel the same way. Meth is way more entertaining but I think Budden is the better rapper. Neither would get destroyed in a battle. It'd be close.
