My friend and I were talking today and we were both in the military, I asked him if he'd ever considered being a cop and he said no, because it's too much like the military. There are a grip of reasons why people wouldn't want to be a cop regardless of the money. I started thinking about that and I definitely wouldn't want to be the dude that mops the floors at a strip club, a gynecologist, or work at a daycare. Even if I was making obscene amounts of grip, it'd be hard to show up to work for those jobs

^That's funny you said that because I always thought I would never want to be a janitor but I work for the Port of Oakland and found out that the air port janitors have such a good union that they start off at $40 an hour and max out with over time making over $100k a year.

I'm like fuck it give me a mop lol
Is the port hiring?

Police Officer is already something I would never do. Now imagine those guys in the police that have to watch and look at child porn all day long. I'd kill myself...

Well yes and no.

They are trying to cut the janitors over-time so they are pissed because the port is hiring Temp's instead of giving them the OT.

You can go in as a Temp and hope to get permanent but they aren't going to pay shit.

Also, you almost HAVE to be Black to get hired there. All the supervisors are black and they mostly just hire they're friends/family. They also low ball the mexicans workers hella bad. And, they want to hire people who actually live in Oakland because they think it will help the city.

I've considered being a cop because of the pay and pay alone. It's not like crime is popping off here like south central LA or anything either. But I'm sure there's so many awful aspects of being a police officer like you mentioned that you don't think about until it happens. Child abuse cases in general would be miserable

Any job where Id have to sit at a desk for a predetermined amount of time. I despise clock watching.

Also I only like commission Pay. Hourly pay sucks ass. Pay me based on how much I produce please.

I like the idea of sweat shops! No bullshit.
Sweatshops give unskilled workers an opportunity to make more money than their skill set would normally allow. Of course they work more hours, but they make more. Not only that but they obviously do wonders for chinas GDP.... win/win

The misconception about sweatshops is that it's slave labor, it's by choice tho.

I'm all about hard work.

At 26 I gotta job where I put in 60+ hour weeks. I made 6 figures tho. And I have a juvenile hall GED. To me it was worth it. I worked they're for 3 years, learned a bunch, stacked bread, bought a house and now I have a very successful company in the same field.

Props for that. I fucked up my high school. Got kicked out before I could finish. But I'm about hard work as well. I got a chance in a company and made it from being an apprentice in Germany to the director of their Hong Kong subsidiary. Now I run my own shit.

There are so many factories these days though, that they kiss factory workers asses. The salaries here in China went up by at least 100 - 200% just in the last 3-4 years. A lot of work + not enough workers = high salaries = western people complaining about expensive products while talking about how terrible China's sweatshops are. :chinese:
