one word homie...PLAY THE LOTTO TONIGHT HA JK

HEALTHCARE

if you are smart/computer literate enough to use this board then you are smart enough to get a job in the field. and i am not saying you need to go be a doctor or nurse. there are thousands of jobs you never would have imagined existed all a result of the baby boomers not to mention all the damn Mexicans in the state. phuck some backbreaking hard labor shit. use your mind and you will go far.

OK that will be $5 to my paypal for this REAL TALK session. aha JK

im just wonderin...how many applications have u turned in in the last six months? and if u were turnin in a shitload of applications, u would follow up on them, and u would call the business, or go in every day, or set up interviews. getting work takes work.

ok, it took me a long ass time to get a job....but the job i ended up finding me was pretty much a good break.

1) first off, keep an open mind. u can have preferences, but if u really need to get a job, ur gonna need to keep an open mind about pay and the type of job ur gonna be doing. dont get too picky.

2) interviews-dress nice, nothing wrong with being a little overdressed. dont chew gum, shake hands, make good eye contact. when answering questions, be honest, but say the obviously cheesy answer.

3) ask as many questions as possible, it shows ur interested. try to establish a good talking relationship. dont sound pissed or bored when asking.

4) on following up, ask for a managers number before u leave, so u can found out about the progess of the application u turned in. call every few days, and if they say theyre gonna call u, wait at least two to three days AFTER they were supposed to call u (ex: they say theyre gonna call u buy thursday, wait till monday to call them). go into the store and try to speak to them. be persistent, but not pushy

just a few tips.

That's what happens when people like Davis get in office. They over tax businesses and drive them away. It was either Dianne Feinstein or Davis that made a special "ups tax" specifically for Ups, just to get more money out of them. As a result Ups moved it's main station across the Arizona border and saved major tax money over there. Just that one company they drove away cost California over fifty thousand jobs. That's why they need to cut taxes on the businesses and give them reasons to come to or stay in California, you can only tax businesses so much before they fold up or move.

speaking of driving business in cali away...

PORTLAND, Ore. - With California roiled by the recall campaign and struggling to right its foundering economy, Oregon and other states are swooping in to try to lure some of its businesses away.

Two days after the recall election, Oregon Democratic Gov. Ted Kulongoski mailed letters to 250 California businesses, urging them to consider moving to a state with a "clean, green and healthy reputation," lower workers' compensation taxes and less regulation.

"With California roiled by the recall campaign"

That is such bullshit. Frickin morons trying to blame anything on the recall election, yet have nothing to say about the democrats ruining California's economy. It is true that all the economy problems cannot be pinned on Davis, so of the policies were put in place by Feinstein. Some might have been there before her, but they are a result of democrat policies.
