There are more things to it than just speakers and amps. It also matters what type/size box you build. What kind of vehicle you have, the trunk size and so on. Because you can have great amps, speakers, deck and so on but if it aint done right it could sound like shit. That being said, JL's aren't bad I prefer Orion but currently I'm using Kiccers because I got a deal. My suggestion though is if you don't have a friend or relative with decent car audio knowledge, then I suggest going to a car audio store. I suggest checcing out this site:

i got jl audio w3's right now (10s) and they knock coo, but i got that like 1 year and a half ago. Fuck the w0's! you gotta fuck with the at least w3's but preferably the w6's and w7's. W7's are a grip though but they straight knock like no other.

Hm the w0s are kinda old cuzzin. If anything I would save up for a pair of 12" w3's or a pair of 12" w6, you can get these new on ebay for about 120 a piece. The W7s are way to much money and there are subs out there that are cheaper and just as good. How much watts are you workin with? Do you want to have a SPL monster, or are you going SQ? How much are you looking to spend?

The best thing about JL subs is they can get loud with little power, and can go past their RMS. I have 2 12" w3's in a sealed box 1.2 cu^ft and I hit a 139.Xdb, cant wait till I port my shit.

ill tell u what else........see if u can find a hookup wit some kicker solo barics..........the sqaure ones........my cuzzin lucked up and found 2 12's and a 650 watt amp for 175 bucks

That shit musta been hot, no one in their right mind would sell them for that cheap. People normally sell blown ones for like $150 and you can sendem to get repaired.

i just bought a pair of kiccer 15's and a 550 watt amp from this white cat whose trin tio alk to my sis..he sold it to me for a 125..lmao...damn shame

they cost... but they slump!!

i heard the w7's thump too.. but ther're heavier then hell, and are even more exspensive...

Fosgates arent really all that anymore, pretty much now a days at SPL drags its all about JL, DD, Adire Audio, Kicker, Inhumans, Mtx RFL.
