This movie had a DVD and directors cut that came out in 2002. What is the difference in this 2004 theater release?

there is no difference at all. Tarantino just bought the movie and released it in the states. the 2002 version was only released in Asia.

Yo this movie is prolly one of the tightest movies ive seen in a while, the subtitles dont really ruin it, because theirs nothing exciting happening when their talking, so you dont miss anything when you read it, but the sword fighting scenes are sick as fuck, my jaw was dropped when the were fighting over the water, i enjoed that movie alot. i recomend it
