So I've been a fan of Jesu since Justin Broadrick (of Napalm Death and Godflesh fame) started the band and released Heart Ache in 2004. But for some reason or another I borrowed Conqueror, Sun Down / Sun Rise EP, and their split with Eluvium from the net as they became available this year and then just totally brushed off listening to them. Fuck was I thinking?

Conqueror is the shit, seriously. It's going to be somewhere in my top ten at years end. The Sun Down / Sun Rise EP was really dope too and the Jesu part of their split (I don't care much for Eluvium) was really good as well. But Conqueror is where it is at. So here is the album and it's bonus disk for download. If you like their stuff let me know and I can steal some more links lol. They are also putting out another EP called Lifeline on Oct 8th. I'm going to go play catch up though and actually buy the forementioned albums first before getting the new EP.

I don't really post anymore but a mention of Jesu needs some discussion.

I believe Jesu are hands down making the greatest music out there today in any genre (although Isis will always be right there IMO). I can safely say that their albums are the only heavy music that really touches me. All of their releases are great but I think their first full-length, Jesu, is their best.

I never liked Godflesh but I have recently checked out some Techno Animal, another one of his past projects, which is a pretty interesting listen and something hip hop fans might be able to get into.

I don't have, and I'm not aware of this Conqueror bonus disk. The link isn't working for me but if you come across it again it would be much appreciated if you could hook it up again.

Hmmm the bonus disc works for me. I should have been clearer and just said that the bonus disc was only available in Japan but is the same songs as the The Sun Down / Sun Rise EP.

I like some Godflesh, but they were pretty hit and miss with me.

Like you said though, Jesu is making some of the greatest music out.

I don't think I've taken this album out of my cd player since I bought it a few days after making this thread. Jesu is one of the best bands in music right now. Everyone should check this stuff out. Psilo if you haven't checked them out I think this would be right up your alley (no homo lol)

You can get most their stuff from Sordo Music Archive (best download site on the net for links to mediafire, rapidshare, etc)

It brought up some other bands with Jesu in the title. But hey, The Jesus and the Mary Chain rock too lol. Grab everything on there by Jesu. I'm telling you, you won't be mad you did.
