CANTON, Ohio (AP) -- Searchers recovered a body Saturday afternoon that they believe is that of Jessie Marie Davis, a pregnant woman who disappeared June 13, police said.

Bobby Cutts Jr., the father of Davis' 2-year-old son, was arrested and charged with two counts of murder, including that of Davis' unborn child, said Stark County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Rick Perez. Cutts is also believed to be the father of Davis' unborn child.

Cutts is an officer with the Canton Police Department.

Perez said the body was found in Summit County, not far from Davis' home in Stark County's Lake Township.

About 1,000 volunteers turned out to search for a pregnant mother Saturday, the third straight day searchers picked through rural areas of eastern Ohio.

Ned Davis, the father of 26-year-old Jessie Davis, begged volunteers to continue their efforts, spending much of the morning giving pep talks to groups of searchers.

"I thank them. I remind them to stay hydrated," he said in an interview. "And most importantly I tell them to bring my Jessie back."

Searching on Thursday and Friday of an area near Davis' home yielded nothing more than a marijuana patch.

About 17 square miles have been covered, and coordinators are sending searchers on Saturday to another four square miles of mostly farmland and wooded areas, said Cindy Wisdom, a spokeswoman for search organizer Texas EquuSearch.

Teams of volunteers are also looking in targeted areas around the home of Davis' boyfriend, Canton police officer Bobby Cutts Jr., Wisdom said.

Crews in helicopters were taking aerial photographs of the area and teams were preparing to search an unspecified body of water using sonar equipment, Wisdom said.

On Friday, a baby found three days after Davis was reported missing was ruled out as a clue to her disappearance. (Full story)

Authorities have said they're working around the clock on the case, trying to find the comforter and cell phone that vanished with Davis from her home in nearby Lake Township, and they're collecting information through a tip line.

Investigators have been mum on many details of their work, but they have quoted Davis' 2-year-old-son, Blake, who may be their only eyewitness.

"Mommy was crying. Mommy broke the table. Mommy's in rug," the boy said.

Davis was reported missing one week ago Friday after her mother found the young woman's bedroom in disarray, the furniture overturned and Davis' young son home alone.

Davis' mother, Patricia Porter, was the last person known to have spoken to Davis, on June 13. She said she's focused on finding her daughter.

"We are not stopping and whoever's done this, I hope they don't think that we're going home," she said Friday. "No one's going home and we are not stopping until we find her and find who did this to her." (Watch Davis' mom discuss her fears )

Authorities talked with Cutts and searched his home, but investigators repeatedly said he was not a suspect. Cutts, 30, has said he had nothing to do with Davis' disappearance.

The pastor of the church Cutts attends has been praying with him every day and said Friday that Cutts, as a police officer, understands why the boyfriend of a missing woman would be under scrutiny.

"He understands what goes with the territory," said C.A. Richmond Sr., pastor at Logos Baptist Assembly. "Of course he is anxious for a resolution and disposition of the whole matter and he is confident they will find he had nothing to do with her disappearance."

I caught some killer expert talking on cnbc earlier and she said she didn't think it was premeditated because there were reports of a car in her driveway that was blasting music right before she was taken from the house. Might've just gotten into an argument and the guy went too far or some shit, I feel bad for the kid. Probably watched his mom get killed.

CANTON, Ohio (CNN) -- A woman has been charged with obstruction of justice in the case of the pregnant Ohio woman whose body was found over the weekend, the FBI said.

Myisha Ferrell is in the custody of the Stark County Sheriff's Department and will be arraigned on Monday, the FBI said.

The arrest comes on the same day officials confirmed the body they found Saturday is the body of pregnant Lake Township, Ohio, resident Jessie Marie Davis. The 26-year-old was reported missing more than a week ago.

In a phone recording, the examiner's office announced it had "positively identified the remains found," adding "fetal remains were also recovered."

The cause of death was pending, the office said. (Watch police announce discovery of body )

Davis had been due to give birth in early July when she disappeared. She was last heard from June 13.

The examiners began the autopsy Sunday after the body was recovered in an area of Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Summit County.

Officials have been tight-lipped about exactly where the body was found and how it was discovered.

On Sunday, a source close to the investigation told CNN that Canton police patrolman Bobby Cutts Jr., 30, led police to the body. (Listen to Cutts discuss the investigation June 19 )

Authorities declined to confirm that.

Officers on Saturday arrested Cutts and charged him with two counts of murder -- one for allegedly killing Davis and the other for allegedly killing her near-term fetus.

Cutts was the father of Davis' 2-year-old son, Blake. He also fathered two other children with two separate women.

Asked by a newspaper reporter prior to the discovery of Davis' body whether he was expecting a second child with Davis, he said, "Possibly, yes."

He is set to appear Monday for arraignment in Canton Municipal Court.

The identification of Davis' body ended a search by thousands of volunteers.

The search was launched after family members and police could not contact Davis. Upon entering her home, Davis' mom found her son wandering alone in a dirty diaper and the house in disarray. Furniture was broken, a lamp was toppled over and bleach had been spilled on the floor, police said. (Map)

There were no signs of forced entry, and Davis' car keys and purse were in the home. But her cell phone and a comforter were missing, police said.

Another woman's home searched
Also on Sunday, FBI agents searched a woman's home in Canton and confiscated multiple bags of items Saturday evening, the woman's upstairs neighbor said Sunday. It's unclear at this time if that woman is Myisha Ferrell.

Hours after police recovered Davis' body and arrested Cutts, FBI agents used a battering ram to break down the door, said Justin Lindstrom, who lives in an adjacent duplex.

The owner was not present during the search, said Lindstrom, who added that agents asked him to call them if he heard from or saw his neighbor.

Lindstrom added that, during the week prior to Saturday, investigators had visited the home multiple times.

He said that, at one point during their searches, they asked him about a bed comforter they found in the building's laundry room.

Lindstrom said he told them it was his. Investigators have been on the lookout for a comforter belonging to Davis since discovering it was missing during a search of her home.

An FBI official told CNN Sunday that agents were continuing to search "multiple locations in the disappearance of Jessie Davis" and that they "continue to talk to people involved in the case that may have information that can help the investigation."

CNN's Jim Acosta contributed to this report.

CANTON, Ohio - A former classmate of the man suspected of murdering a pregnant woman was arrested Sunday on an obstruction of justice charge, the FBI said. Myisha Ferrell of Canton was arrested in the death of 26-year-old Jessie Davis after sheriff's deputies and FBI agents broke down the door of her apartment Saturday night and searched it, agent Scott Wilson said.

The Stark County Sheriff's Department refused to discuss the arrest, saying any information made public would hurt their case. Ferrell was to be arraigned Monday, Wilson said.

The Summit County medical examiner on Sunday identified a body found in Cuyahoga Valley National Park as that of Davis. The dead, nearly full-term fetus was still in her womb.

Davis, of Lake Township near Canton, was reported missing after her mother found Davis' 2-year-old son, Blake, home alone, with bedroom furniture toppled and bleach spilled on the floor. Blake gave investigators their first clues, saying: "Mommy was crying. Mommy broke the table. Mommy's in rug."

Thousands of volunteers searched for Davis for several days, while investigators questioned Bobby Cutts Jr., 30, a police officer who is Davis' boyfriend and has an estranged wife. He is scheduled to be arraigned Monday.

Davis' relatives have said they believed Cutts, of North Canton, was the father of both Blake and the fetus Davis was carrying.

There was no immediate response to messages seeking comment Sunday from Davis' family members and Cutts' lawyer. Cutts' pastor, the Rev. C.A. Richmond, declined to comment as he entered a services in Canton on Sunday.

Justin Lindstrom, 27, an upstairs neighbor of Ferrell's, said officers spent two hours searching the woman's apartment before leaving with several full, brown paper bags and bottles of bleach from the basement.

Wilson would not describe what the deputies seized or say how Ferrell might have been involved.

Lindstrom said he never really hit it off with Ferrell, who lives in the apartment with her 11-year-old daughter.

"She's not exactly your ideal neighbor. She and I haven't gotten along since day one," said Lindstrom, who moved into the building in January. He said she had parties every night.

"We're talking carloads at a time — four and five carloads — and until 3 or 4 in the morning," Lindstrom said.

Ferrell worked at a Denny's restaurant until quitting her job Friday, Lindstrom said. A manager at Denny's, who declined to give his name, confirmed that Ferrell had worked there but declined to comment further.

Officials at the Stark County jail said that Ferrell had not been processed and that they had no information about whether she had a lawyer.

Davis' body was found in an area known as Top O' the World because of its elevation. The area contains a dirt road, a small dirt parking area and a couple of benches overlooking a grassy field.

The body was found in that field, said Roger Riggins, an investigator for the medical examiner's office.

Just down the road, someone posted a sign that said, "God bless you Jesse and Chloe, forever in our hearts." People had placed flowers and red and yellow ribbons just below a sign identifying the park.
