Damn that was a Helluva Fight! it kinda sucked it ended that way but that was one of the best fights this year..i seen pascua clips on firday night fights last night and i wanted to see him fight and didn't know he was fighting tonight. he got skillz but i would like to see him up against some of the fighters he said he would take on before forming a solid opinion on him. one thing though. he's a very entertaining fighter.

yeah that was a real good fight.
I never liked Dawson but recognize his skills and was never a big fan of pascal but it was a good night of action.
I actually had dawson up 6-5 when the cut stopped the fight, but a few rounds were pretty close so I can see it anyway. The home fighter is always going to win the close rounds, no matter where your at.
I think dawson is an idiot because he could have knocked pascal out probably several different times but he has that style where he just isn't aggressive consistently and he has zero killer instinct, although in the 11th it looked like he was going for the KO and was about to knock him out before the headbutt.
Should be a lesson to fighters when you have the oppurtinity to KO someone do it!

Dawson beat himself in this fight. He was way too tentative, but the worst part about the whole thing is he could have stop jean in the championship rounds cause he was gased but I hope it's a rematch this is the fight I think dawson needs to have maybe after this fight he would become more of a aggressive fighter because he have the tools to stop anyone
To me Dawson didnt show enough urgency until that 11th round, i think Pascal was up was up by at least 2 rounds cuz he threw more punches and just had the better work rate. What i dont understand is why wasnt Dawson didnt throw more combos, he could have picked Pascal apart if he threw more punches. Lets all rewatch Tarver vs. Dawson 1 and see how good of a fighter he once was cuz he isnt the same fighter now

As for the rematch I think larry merchant said that there is a rematch clause in the contract, however pascal has the right to fight someone else first, like bute or whomever.

I'm glad Dawson lost that fight .. he fought like he was frightened. Dawson himself said after the fight his shoulder was fine and it sounded like he said in the corner "HIS shoulder is fucked up" not my. Pascal fought no different than how he normally fights, the same defensive flaws were and every time Dawson threw punches he landed fairly clean.
If Pascal & his people were any kind of smart they'd throw down with Bute in whatever the largest stadium in Montreal is .. and he'll have plenty of time to get the fight done because no way Dawson is ready in 2-3 months like he says with that cut .. that shit was nasty.

I had Dawson down by 3. He was too cautious the entire fight. His style, I know, but you cannot expect to go to someone else's turf and get a fair decision. Win the fight, don't expect the judges to award you the fight.
I do think Pascal was hurt in the 11th, and I think it was a combination of punches AND him being gassed.
Great fight for him, though; cash in on it and get your money before you have to fight Chad again. In a rematch, I think Dawson KO's him in 6.
