I met Benny Mardones in L.A. a few years ago, before I had even heard of his song. My friend that I was with was trying to explain to me who he was and what song he sang. Benny ended up singing the song acapella and he was killin' it. I went home, found the original song, wrote these lyrics to it and had K-Lou replay it and this is how it turned out.
