I'm sure many of you have already seen this, but apparently this disaster has been predicted in a couple of ways.

If you want to skip to the prediction then go to 1:13. This video was uploaded on March 8th.

This is a card from Steven Jacksons card game "Illuminati" made in the 80's to early 90's, in this paticular card it shows the Waco Clock Tower in Ginza, Tokyo nearly pointing at 3:11 (its actually 2:11 but for the sake of argument we will go along with it and look at the importance of the card name)

"Combined Disasters"
-You can combine 2 disasters at the same place.

Here is a series of events

I think the important thing is why wasn't the citizens of Japan warned about the earthquake when scientists clearly would of known about it days-even months in advance?

Clearly this was intentionally carried out to set up something larger down the road.

Seriously, what planet are people living on? Where did you get the idea that scientists are able to predict earthquakes months in advance? When in fact, this earthquake is forcing scientists to revise their models of how and where megathrust erthquakes occur as nobody expected this region of the Japan trench to be able to go above magnitude 8.0.

Scientists can give probability estimates about the likelihood of occurrence of an earthquake within the next X years (for example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cascadia_subduction_zone#Prediction_of_the_next_major_earthquake), but the truth is that those aren't very meaningful, as recent events showed, especially for the very big ones that occur once every thousand years or so.
