Hoffman doesn't blow many leads, regardless Peavy is definately one of the top pitchers if not the best this year so far.

He is nasty when on, mechanically I don't like him though. I don't see him being one of those guys who's effective past 30, his elbow is going to explode a few times between now and then.

Good pitcher though, I'm not saying I wouldn't want him on my team.

i see what ur saying, he has nasty movement on his pitches. his problem is that he is a strikeout pitcher...he aint the type to go out and induce pop up outs, thus the high pitch count. he needs to trust his d and go out there and throw, he also tends to let his emtions get to him too much and starts getting a little erratic
