I keep seein everybody sayin that Pac and Big was considered the best in their time. Maybe yall are new but I dont remember anybody ever callin them the greatest or even the best until they died. Most controversial maybe, and before Pac was on death row he used to speak on some real heavy shit, but as far as just lyricism I dont remember either one of them in too many people's top 5. Then all of a sudden they die (RIP) and everybody callin em the greatest.
i beg to differ. pac was tha best lyricist in ALOT uv peoples eyes, BEFORE he died. (but we don't hav to go there, i'm tired uv debating this topic over and over agayne). maybe we're new? wut do u mean?

and b.a.p. i heard king freako, he's tight. fold.

Anyone that says Jada aint got lyrics is either a fuckin retard or doenst listen or know about someoen being LYRICALLY INCLINED....his last album...HORRIBLE beats...his first album...GREAT beats and OK lyrics...

And he would embarrass any rapper in a battle...anyone who knows true hip-hop knows Jada is a monster freestyler...

King Freako was not that tight...RIP...

This comes down to preference folks....but you cant deny lyrical talent...plain & simple...Rob S4 is NOTORIOUS for this...his opinion is meaningless....

i didn't like jada's last album it was ok his voice bores me...
he killed 50 on animal though
as far as a battle yeah he would destroy anybody from the south, chamillionaire could give him a run for his money.
but he sounds like he on some hater shit. similar to how the east hated on the west when we were on top 92-96

.
Let me clarify. Pac made great music but I've never thought of him as a great lyricist. I guess it just depends what your definition of lyricism is. Either way we can agree that he was great. And I feel you about the Pac debates and I aint tryna make this thread about Pac.

And Jadakiss aint that tight but Why? was the shit.

yall need to stop hatin. Dirty South is cool homie. Its they're turn, gott damn. If yall think yall could do better do so muthafucka.

If yall listen to they're lyrics they say it all the fuckin time. "They all about the money and bitches". They just say that shit 50 different ways. They some ghetto ass muthafuckus mayn. Dont knock they hustle. Aint nobody in tha West or East commin out with a gott damn thang and thats real. Justa gang of mixtapes and independant albums with not 1 fuckin single.

Its Dirty South's turn right now. West Coast had they shine from 91 to around 96. Then East Coast took tha shit from 97 to 2003 ish. Now its Down Souths turn. I'm West Coast to tha fullest, but tha shit thats commin out right now. Weak. Thank God Game broke out of G-Unit. Give it a little time and the West and East will be back in game once again. Dr.Dre and Aftermath will have a lot to do with that shit.

I'll put money on these fools to come up biggtime in the future for tha West

Game, Mitchy Slick, Ras Kass, Xzibit, Kam, Bishop Lamont, Jayo Felony and Kurupt.

i like jada but if thats his take on the situation then its fair to say the east coast is 20 percent beats and 20 percent lyrics. the other 6o percent is beyond me.

AGAIN-
just cause RAP came from the EAST, doesn't mean it has to stay in the same form....

RAP WILL and ALWAYS EVOLVE INTO DIFFERENT FORMS FROM ONE REGION TO ANOTHER....FROM ONE RACE TO ANOTHER

WEST IS DIFFERENT!!!
EAST IS DIFFERENT!!!
SOUTH IS DIFFERENT!!!
NORTH DIFFERENT!!!
MID-WEST IS DIFFERENT!!!

WHAT'S SO HARD TO COMPREHEND ABOUT THAT?

BOTTOM LINE; THERE AIN'T SHIT TO DISCUSS...
NO ONE HERE IS RIGHT, NO ONE HERE IS WRONG...

SO WHATCHA TALKIN BOUT?!!

@ d locc....the coasts are different but it is still rap...jada is just trying to let da south kno that they gotta be lyrical with it besides saying what three 6 mafia say or even trick daddy....h town got sum mad lyrics though but im sure he's not talking about the ones like chamillionaire, ti, z ro, lil flip or ludacris there all hot....it's just most rappers spittin da same and easy shit like tricc daddy and three 6 ....now look at the eastcoast and check out the punchlines...there hittin way harder then da south...only ones im going to put da top ones that have lyrics are chamillionaire, z ro, bun b, and bg.. ti kinda fell off tho but his first album was hot....outkast still doing they thing...just saying though da south do got the beatz on lock but for da most part alot of rappers gotta think better lyricz

IF JADA REALLY SAID THAT, THEN HE IS IGNORANT (UNAWARE) AND BIAS IN HIS OPINION. SINCE WHEN DID WE JUDGE OR BASE SOMETHING AND/OR SOMEONE OFF A PERCENATGE? DON'T GET ME WRONG JADA IS A GREAT RAPPER-LYRICIST-EMCEE, BUT HE IS AT FAULT FOR FOR HIS STATEMENT. THERE IS A GREAT LOAD OF TALENT IN THE SOUTH, SOME WHO CAN HANG WITH JADA, AND SOME WHO ARE BETTER THAN HIM IMO.

just cause RAP came from the EAST, doesn't mean it has to stay in the same form...
THE EAST can HAVE 100% LYRIC'S...
BUT WHEN RAP REACHES A CITY ON THE WEST, DOWN SOUTH OR FRANKFURT GERMANY-
...NEWS FLASH TO THE PEOPLE, IT WILL EVOLVED TO REFLECT THAT CITY'S PERSONALITY and MORE OR LESS emphasis IS PLACED ON LYRICS, BEATS, DELIVERY-ETC.

RAP WILL and ALWAYS EVOLVE INTO DIFFERENT FORMS FROM ONE REGION TO ANOTHER....FROM ONE RACE TO ANOTHER

WEST RAP IS DIFFERENT!
EAST RAP IS DIFFERENT!
SOUTH RAP IS DIFFERENT!
NORTH RAP DIFFERENT!
MID-WEST RAP IS DIFFERENT!

SINCE IT'S DIFFERENT, THEY FALL UNDER DIFFERENT KINDS OF BEATS, DELIVERY, CONTENT AND SO FOURTH...

THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX. DON'T BE A MACHINE.

THE EAST DOES NOT SET THE RULES FOR RAP IN THE SOUTH AND THEREFORE CANNOT JUDGE SHIT ABOUT THE SOUTH OR ANY OTHER REGION.

THAT'S WHY I'M NOT UPSET ABOUT Jada's COMMENTS...
He's judging the South all the way from the East, thats COMEDY to me!

like mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn-
D-Locc is just confident.
