like posted earlier, rap AS A WHOLE, IS 90% beats, 10% lyrics. since pac and biggie died, there aint TOO many rappers out there on that lyrical level. pac and biggie raised tha bar. jada was wrong pointin fingas, tha whole game is fucced. its jus a matter of opinion. fold.
Kinda cliche statement dont you think? And can anyone give me some impressive biggie lyrics? I mean really...lyricism has only gotten stronger you just won't find it in mainstream rap. I can name plenty of artists with stronger lyrical abilities than pac and biggie combined its not hard.

Common Sense
Immortal Technique
MF Doom
Aesop Rock
Talib Kweli
Canibus

Thats off the top of my head just to name a few...

And as far as JADA talkin about the south...

Hes a mainstream artist, all the underground artists from the south aren't even in J's radar. Hes talkin about his mainstream counter-parts. And hes being generous with the 10% lyrics...

@Cesolito -- EXACTLY -- Jada talkin about lyrics...he should listen to Kiss of Death and worry about lyrics, cuz that was (for the most part) a sad release. Hes out of the spotlight and mad because lil jon can yell some shit and it sells twice as fast as him coughin all high pitched at the beginning of every fuckin song. Gimme a break.

@filthy rich

50% lyrics, 25% beats and 25% New York appeal? If you wanna talk about percentage its more like 50% lyrics 50% beat

d blocc has some of the hardest beats on the east coast, supa mario makes bangers...i don't know all about that cats with weaker beats can spit better than those without shit you talkin about, i have to feel the beat otherwise im tuned out, the knocc is what gets the head noddin...BUT.. you still got to have some spits, the south to me is just beats, no heat on the mic.. this is just my opinion tho

THE BIGGEST BULLSHIT IN RAP....60 CENTS

just cause RAP came from the EAST, doesn't mean it has to stay in the same form....

RAP WILL and ALWAYS EVOLVE INTO DIFFERENT FORMS FROM ONE REGION TO ANOTHER....FROM ONE RACE TO ANOTHER

WEST IS DIFFERENT!!!
EAST IS DIFFERENT!!!
SOUTH IS DIFFERENT!!!
NORTH DIFFERENT!!!
MID-WEST IS DIFFERENT!!!

WHAT'S SO HARD TO COMPREHEND ABOUT THAT?

FUCC A "90% beats and 10% lyrics"

GET YA MIND CORRECT

D-Locc NOT your average

like i said, ITS A MATTER OF OPINION. IMO-common, talib, and canibus aint got SHIT on pac. i don't want this to be another this rapper is better than this rapper b.s., it's jus a matter of opinion. havent heard anythang from immortal, mf, or aesop so i cant speak on em. but bacc to tha topic, how come u never hear anything bout "best lyricists" nowadays? think about it. during rakims era he was unofficially tha best LYRICIST. during cubes era, he was unofficially tha best LYRICIST. during pac and biggie, they were unofficially the best LYRICISTS. nowadays who is it? jay-z? that's y i'm sayin jada got sorta valid point. i don't buy c.d.'s no more cuz of lyrics. i buy it cuz tha whole vibe. nobody movin me, LYRICALLY, no more. just MY OPINION. fold.

he was on point with that statement.......................out of all those lyrikal cats u picked anybody can pick just as many lames

also depends what u call "Lyriks"

another retarded statement .. you can do that with rappers from ANYWHERE nowadays. there's too many wack cats trying to rap for everyone to be tight. every big city is gonna have a bunch of wack ass rappers.

.. i also can't stand when motherfuckers generalize the south. as if every cities styles sound like Lil Jon and shit. New Orleans shit sounds different from Houston shit which sounds different from Memphis which is different from Atlanta and the list goes on and on.

CONCLUSION ..

before you speak on this subject open your ears to other rappers besides the ones holding up pimp cups on MTV.

I keep seein everybody sayin that Pac and Big was considered the best in their time. Maybe yall are new but I dont remember anybody ever callin them the greatest or even the best until they died. Most controversial maybe, and before Pac was on death row he used to speak on some real heavy shit, but as far as just lyricism I dont remember either one of them in too many people's top 5. Then all of a sudden they die (RIP) and everybody callin em the greatest.

Jadakiss is one of the worst rappers ever. I have never heard a tight song from this cat. I can't wait for cats like Gangsta Blac, Flizy, Koopsta Knicca, Cham, and Ganksta N.I.P to kill this faggot.
