The Zone probably wouldnt have mattered when Jordan played. If they shut down the paint, he wouldve shot from the perimeter. If they defended his jumper, he wouldve drove to the land. So I dont think the zone wouldve worked against MJ.

You are sick. Shaq is a beast with or without Kobe. Jordan MADE Pippen's fuckin career. Without Jordan, Pippen was shit.
Lets consider the facts, because once you do, it would be a better arguement to say that Pippen *made* Jordan. Think about it, the Bulls didn't have a winning season until Pippen came in. They went from 40-42 to 50-32 upon his arrival. In fact, the Bulls had 6 losing seasons in a row (three of which were when Jordan was on the team) until he came, and they never looked back. I'm not saying that Pippen is better or that they would not have won a championship without him, but just look at the facts.

that fool is a jordan wanna be..... he TRIES to copy his style of play...... and who else noticed how he hangs his tounge out like Jordon???!!!
You don't say.. a basketball player trying to mock his game after the greatest player of all time, what an obsurd idea. Do you know how many other players have mocked, or at least tried to mock their game after Jordan? Come on now.

you mean kobe wouldn't be shit without shaq.
He's not denying that, and in fact, most Laker fans will admit the team wouldn't as much without Shaq, we are just pointing out that it is the same case without Kobe.

pippen has done great things for other teams since he left the bulls hasnt he ? showing how he can be the missing peice to any team....
Thats why were are trying to get people to understand that Jordan didn't do shit by himself.

1986-87 40 42 .488 (No Pippen)
1985-86 30 52 .366 (No Pippen)
1984-85 38 44 .463 (No Pippen)
1987-88 50 32 .610 (Pippen Joins the team)

See any noticable difference? I do..

Only way Kobe can be considered as one of the greatest off all time is if he goes on a team by himself and make some things happen. We saw what happened last season when Shaq got injured, they went 2-9. Until he single-handedly lead a team to the playoffs or further, I dont wanna hear them Jordan comparisons.
You have to give the man time to adapt to the role, your talking about 11 games.. Lets not forget that if we are to compare the two, then we have to remember that in Jordans first three seasons he "lead" his team to losing records. In 1984 the Bulls were 38-44, in 1985 they were a horrible 30-52, and the following season in 1986 they were 40-42. So while you point out 11 games where Kobe could not lead the team on his own, I will point out three entire seasons where Jordan couldn't do it.

P.S...The first time Jordan led the Bulls to the playoffs, there was no Pippen. Plus, he dropped 63, even tho they still lost.
P.S. They had a losing record that year, thats how easy the eastern conference is.

it dont matter....they still went to the playoffs. Put Kobe on a team like Jordan had back then...them going to the playoffs would be unheard of. Jordan came in dominating the NBA in his rookie season! You compare all the superstars stats in the NBA today to Jordan's rookie stats, only Tracy McGrady stats will probably be better.

Kobe at 25 years old, it would be expected, not unheard of.

Because most of the rookies that come in are young and put on the bench. Jordan was 21 years old and put on a team that was previously 27-55, while Kobe was 18 and put on a long time playoff contending team, who was 53-29 the year before. Players like Jordan, LeBron, Carmello, were all put on shitty teams, so they started right away and were able to make an impact.

you missed my fave picture memphis, the one with malone burrying his face in hid hands, lmao, put those pics on their own thread and make that shit vital.

@nitro...in your opinion, would the lakers be in better position if they had the same starters as last year? i dont really think it would have made a difference, these pistons are monsters on D.
