Is this good Internet Speed?

I could pay $10 more and get 50mps, but I haven't felt the need to yet, everything I want to do online is fine speed wise.

This my wifi (comcast) and lte (t-mobile) internet speeds. My comcast is actually a lil faster if im plugged directly into the modem.

I pay for the Cox 50mb/sec plan and they've been giving me way faster since I signed up 6 months ago.

laptop hardwired thru the router. actual upload speed is ~325k/sec. download speed is 2.2 - 2.5 mb/sec with a peak of right around 3.5 mb/sec. i gotta get a 25 ft coiaxal cable and a 15 ft ethernet cable and hardwire the desktop

wifi speed. im on the cheapest cox plan. upload speeds suck more than justin biebers career. actual download speeds are 1.3 - 1.7 mb/sec and its fast enough. the speeds aint bad for $20 a month

that shit's a trip thinking that 10 mb was normal back in the 80's... i got individual songs in my iTunes library that wouldn't fit on that hard drive

The only thing I'd be paying for if I got that rate would be the ability to watch 1080p streams between 7-9pm. That's the only window of time that I run into problems. My 15^ works fine for gaming, otherwise.

I think I'm on a 25Mb connection so idk why this is so high. I get 12MB/sec download and 1MB/sec upload.

lol my shit got slower....anyone know why? is it my computer that's slower? I have maleware protection! Is it cuz I have my ps3 hooked up to my network? or is it my ISP? Im calling my ISP anyways im supposed to atleast be at 20down. I never even had that.

disable the guest account if u have a router. wired speeds are probably 5 times what wifi speeds are. the model of the pc has nothing to do with speed. anything thats hooked up to the network and consuming bandwith always slows the connection down. speeds are always most accurate when u try the isp website


the java might fuck up but theres a way around it. i think the error says "application blocked by security protocol" or some shit. in windows 7 search for java and select "configure java". click the scurity tab and set the level to medium. then click "edit site list" and add the isp test website which is FrontierNet® > Internet and DSL services, news, local weather, email, and technical support from FrontierNet® in your case. then click ok then apply. refresh the page and the test should work

I might be switching to AT&T cuz of the bundle with Direct TV. Was wondering if AT&T has gotten better, if i remember correctly AT&T was pretty weak but havent heard anything recently. Sucks Fios isnt offered in this area

I had AT&T dsl when I lived in Georgia, it was great. Didn't have one single outage in the year and a half I lived there and always got the speed I paid for.

I had that same Direct TV and AT&T package, so much better then the Comcast bullshit that was in that area.
