Is there a chip for the that little tiny PSOne playstation?

I just bought a brand new PSOne unit for 20 bucks off my homie. Thing is, it doesnt play all off my burnt PS games, and thats all I got is burnt shit! I need to know if there is a chip for this unit. My homie told me the regular Playstation chip wont work on it.

i think it's on swap trick...you need to have a disc like for the dreamcast and then swap discs...
