I just saw on the news that Jesse Jackson accused Barack Obama of trying to "act white".

My question here is, compared to all other developed countries, are we behind in the United States when it comes to acceptance of different ethnicities?

I've been to Europe, and it just kills me to know how they are compared to us, the supposed "Greatest Nation" in the world. In England, people of all races born and raised there, sound ENGLISH! Nobody accuses non-white people in England of trying to "act White", or "act English". Ireland, same thing. France, Spain, Italy, etc...same shit.

This raises another question. With the way things are, still fucked in 2007...do you think there is any HOPE in the United States of a better tomorrow for the generations to come? As a nation, do you think we will ever get over these "black/white" differences and just accept each other as Americans?

Some food for thought. All opinions will be accepted and open for discussion. Let me know what you think.

shiet i dont think racism will ever stop... shits old and stupid and its still goin on.. i recently had a neighbor who got kicked out her house because her bf was black and her mexican parents wouldnt approve of her doing that. they said it was a disgrace cause everyone had married mexicans. why should she ruin it the mom said. wut a pitty. id want my daughter to be happy. fuck the skin colors.

lol that is true tho.. ppl over there dont have that much diversity as the u.s i think.... im sure if mexicans started moving in with their language and their culture they would trip. i doutb they would accept that. i actually know a german guy who says all mexican music is garbage and it sounds like circus shit. says he cant wait to go back home so his ears can stop bleeding.

Point well made. If you look at the rest of the world, racism is between countries for the most part...especially in the middle east. There's not a lot of that shit going on in other developed countries, but here...in the biggest melting pot in the world, you would think that we would have learned by now to accept each other more. We have people like Jesse Jackson, who is supposed to be a LEADER, still saying dumb shit that keeps people divided. Why are people like this on national TV with this shit if it keeps a gap in race relations right here at home? Could be white, black, asian, whoever...it's just retarded.

fuck jesse jackson AND Al sharpton, those are not our leaders. All our real leaders are dead, and for a reason. It's a reason why jesse and Al are still breathing and able to speak, because they are not a threat to the founders of this countrys agenda.

and as far as Obama goes... i dont really follow politics so i really dont kno shit about this dude... but can somebody tell me where his funding is coming from? it cost real money to run a presidential campaign, and nobody black just has that in their back pocket... i think if u find out who's backing this dude Obama and his run for Pres., you'll probably find out what Jesse was REALLY trying to get at.

well i mean i can totally see why her mom wanted her to marry a mexican. but i disagree on the fact that she got kicked out and basically disowned just because of that. but yea racism is stupid as fuck. i doubt itll ever stop.

He's a senator, so he has his own cake. PLUS, he has the party behind him. As far as outside funding goes, that Asian dude that just got popped for scamming, gave him and Hillary Clinton some money. From what I understand though, when they found out where the money REALLY came from, it was given back.

That's a really good question, and honestly, I have no fuckin idea...lol. As far as I know, it's been around since the beginning of time, and it all depends on who you ask, and who hates who. I know racism in this country was brought over by the old countries, and it was because the whites thought people of different skin color were inferior. Africans because they weren't advanced, and were looked upon as savages, not even human to the Europeans. Their views on the natives, same thing.

We all know that turned into these fuckin rednecks saying black folks should "go home", even though their ancestors were dragged here against their will by the ancestors of these racist fucks...it all escalated from the slave trade and the belief by whites that they were superior.

If we take it back further, racism probably got bad around ancient egyptian times...but back then it was classism...egyptians enslaving those that were less fortunate...their own people. Then folks of undeveloped nations were seen as inferior, and race was eventually associated with the "poor people", such as those from Africa, the Natives, etc. etc.

That's all only SPECULATION, because we can't really know WHEN or WHY it started. Our best bet is to believe it was way back, and somebody eventually decided they were better than somebody else...and ethnic makeup was eventually associated with class and lifestyle.

I will never understand it, because the rednecks hated my family when they came to this country in the early 1900's...and they were Italian...white, but still seen as inferior by so called "Real Americans".

I have a theory called the 75% theory. This theory applies to your city, state, region, country, continent, even the Siccness. My theory is 75% of people in the world are STUPID. No difference in ethnicity/race color or religious following. YES THAT MEANS YOU.
