There is a notion that the REF's in the NBA are paid off, or that David Stern is picking the winners. First off I would like to say, that in one way or another, the NBA revolves around money. Without money it doesn’t exist. No one gets paid, no one participates. However there is something that has been thrown around the last few years rather carelessly. 'Money also determines who wins titles and who goes home packing'. The last three years especially I have heard countless people (Mostly Kings fans) claiming the NBA is not as real as it seems; it all revolves around money; David Stern is picking the winners. I have a thing or two to say about this. If the NBA is rigged, and the winner is determined by money, and you are as sure as you seem to be about it, then why are you acting like the same thing isn’t going to happen again? The first time the Lakers won the championship, everyone was saying it was rigged, yet they "Knew" there team is going to win it next year. Same thing eventually happened, and they "Knew" last year was going to be there’s (This happened all 3 years). So why are all of you out here acting the fool again, it’s all one huge contradiction. And the second Sacramento wins a title (If they do) then the NBA is no longer rigged I assume. You see where im coming from? Either admit the Lakers are deserving three time champions, or go with what your saying now, knowing it's rigged, and the Kings have no chance. Lastly, and I cannot stress enough, listen to me now, all of you here that are saying its all based on money, that its all rigged, know now that if your team wins it, it was David Stern who gave it to you. Cause if the NBA is in any way rigged, I can guarantee there not going to stop now. There is no way there going to just say "Don’t give the Lakers any more titles" then all of the sudden let the NBA play out. Either it’s rigged, and that’s the way its going to stay, or the Lakers are deserving of what they got.

(By 'rigged' I do not mean scripted. I am referring to the way you guys speak of the NBA as it is, which is Stern picking who wants to win by way of ref's.)

True. I've always said I just want the games called fairly. Hell, I've even started threads about bad calls going FOR the Kings and took hits from people who didn't realize I WAS a Kings fan. I merely call 'em like I see 'em.

Unfortunately we don't live in a perfect world. Yes, the Kings benefited from some calls in that series and so did the Lakers, that's just the way it goes. Every NBA fan can accept that. BUT, the ass-raping by the refs in game 6 was WAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY too obvious. I mean c'mon, they didn't even try to hide it. Stern wanted that series to go 7 games and he got it. That particular fix was noticed by everyone with two eyeballs, Nitro. I don't believe Stern stepped in in game 7 but, he didn't have to by then. The Kings were mentally taken out of that series back in game 6. While this was a significant weakness in the team I agree, the Kings hadn't yet the expierence to recover from a blow like that.

Translation: They choked. But not without the entire public noticing the glove left at the scene.

You both are a prime example of the last part of my thread. You know, the part about hate in place of knowledge. I post something i wrote on a topic constantly being talked about here, and you guys reply saying i wrote this simply to justify the Lakers losing right now? Listen up kids. First off, the Lakers are losing because they suck right now. I previously mentioned in another thread its not who you have on your team, its how they play together. Now, if you guys knew your ass from a hole in the ground, you would know on more then one occasion i have completely admitted that the Lakers got calls in certain critical games. Some calls more serious then the others, and i still stand by that. So dont sit there talking shit to me FATAL when clearly you missed the purpose of the thread. I was not posting this with intensions of trying to prove to Kings fans and Laker Haters alike that there were no calls, and the Lakers deserved what they got. Im merely asking you people weather you really think the NBA is fixed, or did the Lakers win those titles on there own. Cause you cant have it both ways. If you sit there and say Stern is involved in who wins, then im saying if the Kings win, its also because of Stern. Theres no way around it, its one or the other. Its called REALITY. Like when the Bulls played Seattle in the 96 final....they were up I believe they were ip 3-0, but the series went 6 games with the Bulls winnin 4-2! Now that is the greatest team of alltime period, and they should have easily swepted weal ass Seattle, but because u generate money for mopre games, that they had the series extended!! Not to say that happens every year, cause they dont want to be obvious, so everynow and then u get a sweep like last year!! But thats what i been told from time to time and I believe it!! But again the fakerz didnt deserve last years title and the first one, because Sac was cheated last year, and Portland was cheat the first time in the 7th game!! You said Seattle went up 3 games, then got killed the next four in the name of money. What was behind that do you think? Was it scripted to play out that way? Can the refs have power enough to completely determine the outcome of a game? If so, do you seriously think it happens? This is what im getting at folks. Not everyone is as hard on the Lakers nuts as you think, if they didnt deserve those titles then so be it, im not here to convince you otherwise.
