It's weak as fuck.
that's dissapointing to hear knowing that Celly never came out with anything wack before. I could tell it was weak by that low budget looking album cover

What?! Celly didnt come through big this time?? I was all hyped up about going to get that album too.

Is it his lyrics or the beats were dissapointing???

For me, the beats were for the most part on point, but lyrically I think Cel's trying a little too hard to be all things to all people...

I've thought about this a little, and I remember Celly saying in a recent interview that the reason he'd been gone for so long (his last new solo was 2000's DEEP CONVERSATION) was because he'd been trying to get resigned, and that he'd even shopped with some of the majors between '02 and now--my guess is that he was hoping to get on a major with this CD, but when he didn't get signed to one, he went ahead and released what he had independently, just to have "a" new CD out there. I like it better now than I did when I first heard it, and there are SOME dope songs here, but it just sounds like he was trying to be more marketable, because the lyrics in some songs seem more lyrically simplistic than what he's done before. Maybe it'll grow on me more, but right now, I'd say that if you buy it, buy it used.

PEACE!

I was definitely feelin the new Celly Cel. Had a lot of that old mid 90's Celly sound to it. I would even buy it again if I lost it.

For me...it was the beats...Celly's a good artist he just didn't have music that worked well with his flows...Celly's first two cds are some proper shit IMO...

i would skip it. production is weak... they even tried to do a sample of "bia bia" by lil jon, and they killed it.

-also his lyrics have gotten kinda weak too. "WELL IT MIGHT BE.... ME AND MY DOGS AT THE CLUB GETTIN HYPHYYYYYY!!!" - i mean he wasnt never no lyrical genius, but damn the lyrics have gotten terrible. And the song with WC is recycled i think.

Fuckin Sucks. It's sad to say, But it's true. The only good track IMO is the one with YOUNG KEV and HOBO TONE from Kansas City.Production is Garbage. Only that Track has a Tight Beat.
