Has anyone else been paying attention to him? I mean seriously, this guy has been outstanding on the mound. Peep-

He has pitched 4 consecutive shutouts. Granted they wern't complete games, but all at least 7 innings. Now over the last 6 games he has allowed 1 Earned Run.

41 Innings, 6-0 Record, 1 Earned Run, 42 Strikeouts and he throws as fast, if not faster than Jason Schmidt. He's 22 years old and in his second year. He only played in 7 games last year so does anyone know if this is his official rookie season?

yeah, hes making a late run for ROY...but i think it'll go to jason johnson of the marlins....but yeah, hes been dope, hopefully they dont trade him away next year, i'd like to see some homegrown stud pitchers. i actually saw him outside of the Pirates stadium after the game with Matt Morris and Brad hennesey, they were going to a bar.

agreed, Cain is the future, possibly a great #1 type pitcher.

but i still think he is in third place in ROY voting behind
1. J. Johnson Marlins RHP
2. A. Eithier Dodgers OF

only because they have been consistantly good ALL YEAR and Cain has been below average most of the year up until recently when he has been white hot.

^^^i agree, but i think the fact hes been exceptional as of late, is more important than u think, cuz it only HELPS the giants. hes been important when it matters. i dont think he'll win, he'll finish first or second, but he's still done really well.
