Yea im sick of that, but im more sick of the horrible answers these rappers be givin. Jeezy backed himself into a corner with that one. They just need to answer that shit without gettin all defensive and tryin to act like nas said its dead cuz of them(even know he prolly did)

That shit been tired. Cats was yelling hip hop is dead long before Nas announced his album title but just because he's a big name in rap they went crazy with that shit. If Z-Ro, Esham, Rich The Factor, Lil Rob, Mac Minister or Sir Dyno would of had that same title mothafuckas would'nt of said shit about it cuz those are small names. Its just some corporate industry shit. And to be honest thats what Nas meant about hip hop being dead. he was speakin on the corporate politics destroying the art form.

It's pretty ironic how you would find the multitude of articles that address this topic as being less than creative.

Hip Hop has been less than creative for a few years now. That's part of what Nas and others have been trying to get across to people.

Nas's new album is nothin like these other albums being released mainstream. And the fact that people been sayin hop hop is dead and no one listens unless someone thats been around and been in the mainstream for years says it proves that hip hop is dead(in the mainstream)

i still don't see nas trying to make a change, i haven't liked his last few albums...as far as i'm concerned, i can say nas ain't been creative either
The reason why you made this thread is a perfect example of a change Nas made with the HIP HOP IS DEAD album. :eyecross:

He made a bold statement (HIP HOP IS DEAD) which has opened a discussion that consumers, writers, reviewers and artists are chiming in on.

The fact that he had the balls to say what he said was him making a change.
