what a lot of people dont realize is that there is a huge "hip hop" scene in the bay. like zion I, heiro/souls of mischief. I bet a lot of people dont know that the beastie boy's mixer, mixmaster mike, is from the bay. a lot of these cats are more well known in new york and shit than here though. it is kinda fucked up.
