O.K. i care about this site and I know its marketing and entertainment value,thats why i wanna start this thread cause lately things have been one sided.
I still have not got the center of attention,but Im sure its gonna be a good one when i get it? I think some leave Irocc out the equation when it comes to the next to blow topics.I remember seing irocc on some video documentary and I was wondering what he sounded like.Then I met him at Bossman hoggs place,and found out he has a good head on his shoulders,and was working harder then most,and is a good example to model yourself after,as far as work ethics.I then went out and bought the IZ realz and I wasnt blown away,I had certain issues with quality etc(You know how I crtiique) If you was to ask me then If I thought he had what it took to make it bigger I would have thought not.Now then I started really learning that talent alone aint gonna get you there.I started hearing irocc on some songs my boy slid me on some shit he downloaded,I started changing my mind slowly,hearing him side by side with Ecay,Hollow tip,I started seing that he was a contender.But I really beleive he has been making sound business decisions,and has matured as an artist over the last 2 years,His sound went from underground to a more wider appeal...so irocc when you read this sorry for having a doubt,but I gotta give it up to you and I see bigger and better things for ya.
whats everyone elses thoughts..Irocc to me has the important elements
1.talent 2. business saavy 3.Connections.

I actually said names in the entire interview..I was speaking about certain individuals GOOD AND BAD ..If anybody know's about DVD'S they get edited SO my whole interview was not on the DVD ...and that was not my project so I didnt have any control over the editing of the DVD ..I did the interview and seen the finished project a year later when it was released like everybody else did..they chose to use what they wanted out of my interview

and I feel like anybody that got offended must feel like they're NOT tight or on top of their game..cuz niggaz that I wasnt speakin on like U AND OTHERS KNOW i WASNT TALKIN BOUT THEM ...FEEL ME? If any nigga say "some rappers in DAGO need 2 step it up" I'm not gonna get offended cause I'm confident in my music


And I really DON'T like all the music in DAGO and I'm not gonna act like I do publicly just because this is home..U sayin the majors might have gotten turned off by what I said on the dvd ...I'D much rather that than them HEARING THE not so ready music from here and think we all make music like that and THEN REALLY BE TURNED OFF FOR GOOD!

the funny thing is everybody thats so called "offended" arent the 1's that I thought needed work..LOL


P.S THAT INTERVIEW IS 3 YEARS OLD AND BACC THEN IT WAS A WHOOOOOOOOOOOLE DIFFERENT BALLGAME...it has been at least 30 dago released projects since then AND I like the direction we"re headed right now

I would have to watch that dvd again,I didnt catch irocc sayin anything that I recall,I know Ecay said a few thangs that had me scratch my head,but I thought i was the only one who seen that dvd..I think at one time or another we all have thought we figured it all out, and come to find out everyday is a learning experience,and the more ya learn the more you realize you dont know shit cause the times are evolving,Record stores are closing,downloads illegal and legal..should be a clue that the 1990s music hustle mentality may not work today,

Rocc is on a whole 'nother level now on some rap shit. I respect this post. You dont see too many like that anymore.

Center of Attention is dope as fuck and the Batkave shitted on the beats but even that album is not representative of how Rocc is coming now.

And I will comment of Big June's post as well, yeah that interview was done in like 2002 when Dago had a long way to go. Im not saying it still doesnt but I will say that Dago has steped its game up as a whole thanks to people like Rocc, Sidewayz, Mitchy, Smigg, Cricet and especially Nemo with everything he is doing on a business level with Siccness and having a deal at Koch etc.

i just watched the video,I think there was only one thing i rocc said that some mat find objectinable,but through out the video he droped the truth.even the part that some may not like,I think it can be interpreted in different ways,I personally agree that some rappers in dago think they are the hardest,etc.,Ask Young sau..i tell him almost weakly..stay focused,and humble,dont fall in love with your songs...he wants to be felt and its good,but do your song and move on,dont sit around bumpin your shit like aint no one fuckin wit ya(Not directed just to young sau), One thing I have noticed with rappers in L.A. and Dago is there is a lot of laziness,they think cause they are hot,that its all gonna fall in there lap(Not directed towards anyone in particular) I even tell sau that he dont want it,he aint ready....I try and light the fire.I give positive reinforcement when needed,and I try and spark the drive...I took what Irocc said as almost what I was saying.....there are hot rappers everywhere and some are really hungry but might not have the help,so dont sit back and think talent alone will carry you...You need a drive,stay hungry and focused.
Now ecay saying rappin in the town is grade B,I dont really know what he was thinkin,but if thats what he thinks...thats how he feels...I think that we are focusing on something like what was said a few years ago is counter productive,and I think when dago releases the local mentality chains,they gonna be recognized alot further...Dago has a whole pool of talent,with the focus drive,and a plan..it can only get better for anyone wh is serious about rappin,producing,managing,graphics,street team promotioms.

This is some real shit right here homie.I think in the last year Dago artists have been putting in major work from IROCC,Mitch,Sidewayz to some of the mexican rappers,hopefully that trend will continue and Dago can get that shine that it deserves.

when IROCC started fuckin with the Batkave I noticed a SIGNIFICANT difference in the music he was making and heard him improve from one song to the next and get better with time. Not alot of people in the business take time to improve, and I give him major credit for that because he's been hustling.

I wish I was in SD to hear music being made out there right now, cuz when I left there really wasn't a whole lot of music that jumped out to me. SD is so divided it's crazy, but it definitely has potential..
