iPod problem...

I've got the iPod classic with 80G on it. Got it for X-mas. I get into my car today and plug it into my deck, press play, and the screen just stays black. Tried charging it- still black screen- not working.

Which makes me really happy because it's a 250 dollar piece of equipment. I'm on the verge of a terrible depression.


Anyone know how I can fix it? Will I have to take it in to somebody? Will I still have all my media on it if/when I get it fixed?

reset it, or let it sit for 2 days

then charge it

Hold down the Menu & Select button it should reset it...

You probably dropped it, needle on the hard disk fell out of place.


I don't know if there's any APPLE STORES in the Detroit area but APPLE is pretty keen on replacing most new iPods.

mine didnt detect anything either, just reset it, then if that doesnt work, let it sit there for 48 hours, without moving it or anything

then if that doesnt work, just take that shit in for repair

damn over an ipod lol.... take it to the apple store they'll make sure its fixed or give you a new one as long as you have some kind of proof you bought it and its not a stolen i pod. imma have to take my iphone back in soon im tryna get a new one....

my shit did that. i would have to reset that bitch like 30 times and then by the time it worked tha muthafucka used to be dead. make an appt wit apple they'll replace it.
