What's up forum? I've had an ipod 5g for a while. Yesterday it dropped because the headphone jack slipped. When I plug it into the USB it either says low battery, the apple sign shows up, www.apple.com/support/ipod shows up with a sick face, or it says please reset to factory settings. I have a shitload of music on it that I can't find anymore. I'd like to keep the music on it. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated by all. Thanks.

Is there a chance the music will still be on there though after the replacement? I'm not trying to send it to Apple either. I live out here in Salinas but I don't know of any places that replaces them. It's worth a trip out to the bay to get it fixed though if I have to. Do you know of any stores in San Jo Viz?

Try dropping the iPod again... sometimes the needle will fall into place giving you enough time to salvage your music.

The only Apple stores in this area are Oakridge Mall, Valley Fair Mall and the Apple Headquarters in Cupertino they have an Apple store on their campus.
