I believe he had the largest following in the 70's and 80's...they attacked leftists, environmentalists, communists and Black nationalists, feminists, gay and lesbians, and organized labor. They advocated a dictatorship in which a “humanist” elite would rule on behalf of industrial capitalists. They also had a "coded" variation on the Illuminati Freemason and Jewish banker conspiracy theories.
They guy was sentenced to 15 years in prison in the 80's for some political scams and served 4 yrs.
In the 90's he changed a bit…anti-war, anti-violence, they tried to appeal to more blacks, opposed the death penalty, anti-immigrant racism etc. LaRouchites and Louis Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam became close.
It's interesting to note that although he has failed at running for president 8 times, they have raised hundreds of millions of dollars over the years.
