So...we we're recently comparing our inhouse recordings(which are done very modestly, but come out pretty well, wouldn't you say Heresy?) off the past few months, and the ones previous to that...all recorded in the same room, same equipment

well we found the newer recordings were fucking WEIRD in the mids...sounded hella boxxy and tinny

well, it was because the first recordings we did in the room, were while i had a broken window in my living room(where the studio was) and couldn't fix it for hella long due to financial issues lol

well...that's is basically
when there was no window in the living room, the recordings sounded a million times better

so my conclusion...break all windows

ya know, i have absolutely no credentials to offer insight to that, but it seems to make sense. i would say, when you record, pad the fuck outta those windows. cover them with blankets, foam, whatever, and that would cut down on the reverberation/echoing sound from a stiff material like glass. just my thoughts, let some pros give you some good advice though

Moe, drop your # in my pm box again.

And yes people he had clean sounding music that was recorded in his home that you would have thought was recorded at a big studio. When I heard the sound and he told me what he was using (one of the pieces was something I actually recommended to him) I was impressed.

BREAK ALL WINDOWS!!!!!!!!!
