The city school board has voted to fire eight part-time school police officers, including four who were moonlighting as bodyguards for rapper Snoop Dogg when an unknown gunman shot at his convoy in April.
After a four-hour closed session, the board voted 4-1 to fire reserve officers Leslie Gaulden, Randy Robinson and Kenny Archer, all of whom worked for the rapper. Officer and Snoop Dogg bodyguard Marcus Thompson, arrested on weapons charges after an incident at the BET Awards show in Hollywood, was fired last week.
MIKE TYSON HAS ADVICE FOR KOBE!
MIKE TYSON served three years in prison on a rape conviction, and he says he has compassion for KOBE BRYANT who is facing sexual assault charges in Colorado. Mike comments, "I've been in an ordeal like him, and I know how easy it is for a young man to be a big shot, a big star in America's eyes and then get in another arena and he's nobody. That means the judicial arena."
He adds,"When it comes to the nitty-gritty, if he ever gets some (jail) time, which I hope he doesn't, and which I don't think he is going to, he's gotta keep in consideration who's gonna come see him, who's gonna be in touch, who's gonna be his contact if anything happens."
IRV GOTTI FAILED TO SHOW UP IN COURT!
Murder, Inc. boss IRV GOTTI was a no-show for his arraignment in Oakland, California on a misdemeanor drug possession charge. Gotti's attorney, Dennis Roberts, had promised to appear on his client's behalf because Gotti lives in New York. But the lawyer missed the California court date as well! Gotti was arrested Aug. 15 at a concert at the Oakland Arena for allegedly carrying a single dose of the drug Ecstasy. (Before passing through a metal detector at the Oakland Arena, Gotti took some items from his pants pocket and put them into a basket. An Oakland police officer noticed a small clear plastic bag containing some pills. Gotti tried to put the bag back in his pocket before the officer stopped him.) Gotti posted $20,000 bail and was told to appear this past Tuesday in Alameda County Superior Court.
