The excitement of hip-hop comes to television this fall with the premiere of a six-part reality series called Interscope Presents: The Next on Showtime.

"This show allows young hip-hop artists to compete in a way that is most
true to the art form, and through that get a real opportunity," says Jimmy
Iovine, Chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M.

Interscope Presents: The Next will also tell the untold hip-hop history of major cities as revealed by local legends and famed rappers, including 50 Cent, Joe Budden, Wyclef, Clipse, Big Tigger, Nate Dogg, Bonecrusher, Gang Starr and Loon.

Here's the breakdown ya'll:

The first five one-hour episodes will showcase two MCs who have been
handpicked from hundreds of people hoping to get a chance to showcase their skills in their respective city -- Atlanta, Los Angeles, Detroit, Philadelphia and New York. Each episode will culminate in a rap battle in front of peers, with special guest DJs and MCs officiating.

The local winner will then be determined by the audience. The five winners will then gather for a final one-hour national showdown episode in Los Angeles.

Beanie Sigel's bid to leave federal prison was revoked by the judge, instead, beans must enter a drug rehabilitation and anger management program, after the man he shot, claimed that he received daily threats .

Mr Terrence Speller, the man who claims beanie is the one who shot him in the stomach and foot at a Philadelphia bar, testified that he and his girlfriend received daily threats against their lives because of their cooperation regarding the trial.

Speller said that none of them came directly from Sigel, U.S. District judge R. barclay surrick had approved Sigel's release to an undisclosed treatment facility.

He ordered Sigel to put up a $ 1,000,000 federal bond, $ 150,000 in cash, a house valued at $400,000 and four other properties.

Beanie Sigel been held without bail since July 14.

that first one is weak. no bay?? isnt the bay known as having the most prominent underground hip hop talent despite not having many major artists, even by the major cats? just more proof that there is industry hatin towards the bay
