"sober" is the shit.
1st introduced to tool through that video,
shown at a festival of animation years ago.
that's still their best video to date.

but "lateralus" is such a complete work
of art from beginning to end. more whole
than their previous work. my 2 cents.

I ain't really into Rok/Metal whatever the fuk you wanna call it.

But I like a few bands such as Kittie,Rob Zombie/White Zombie and Tool. . .

When I first heard Tool I hated they're shit. It took many a long trips bak and fourth from Denver to Salem,OR to get me turned onto they shit. Me and my brother would switch off CD's and all that muthaphuka listens to is tool. So i'd pop in some classic Eazy-E or Lynch,Scarface somethin. He'd keep poppin in the Tool. And let me tell you that shit can put you in a zone when your in the middle of Idaho at about 3am doin 80mph high offa Mountain Dew and Caffeine pills. . .

I think Aenima is they're best album. Them traks Eulogy and Aenima are the ones that stand out on that album. And Sober is about the only song I like on Undertow. . .A Perfect Circle got some good songs too. Same lead singer from Tool I think his name is Manard. . .

that's what they do. put you in a zone.
producers been handing me rock tunes,
trying to get me to go the rap/metal
thang, but i aint fucking with it. the
only way i would fuck with rock is
if i had a band as solid as tool backing
me up. or rage against the machine.
or led zeppelin from back in the day.

I never really understood the Rap/Metal thing. . .

I guess it starts from suburban area kids that grew up listening to both but if you think about I don't really think there is a band out there that label's themselvs as being rap/metal that represent the rap side properly. I mean look at Fred Durst he's aight when he sings I guess if you were a 14 yr old bitch lookin for something to finger fuk yourself over. But he can't rap for shit. He needs to just leave that shit alone with his ABC 123 ryhmes much like any rap/metal band that i've heard. . .

As far as Siccmade doin anything along those lines. I think it'd be coo if done right. Lynch/Siccmade with Korn or Lynch/Siccmade with Zombie could be coo too. Have you ever heard that song with Korn and Cube. That shit's coo. Something like that where the beat goes bak and fourth from some coo bassline and dark synthsized sounds bak too hard guitar riffs.

I think Siccmade tourin with a band like that ain't a bad idea either because I wouldn't be to suprised if the fans that are into Korn,Slip Knot,Etc. . .Band's like that I think the fans of band's like that could get into some Siccmade shit. And unlike a lot of people that buy underground rap they support them band's and actually buy CD's. . .

^^^you right, the rap/metal genre has never
impressed me. dudes like fred durst buy their
legitimacy by paying real hip-hop artists to
collaborate with him. he's an embarrasment
all around. but deftones do a good job of it
when they want to. problem is, a lot of these
guys shout to be heard over the guitars & lose
all mic. control in the process.

Korn is tight... and while we're on the topic, I'd like for rap to grow as a music itself because it's bigger than Rythm And Poetry now. Let's get unconventional, and let's get tight ass bands in the mix... Jazz mixes well with rap... That's what I'm expectin' from the better rappers... as for now, in my headphones it's all Nirvana...

siccmade+korn=garbage in my opinion

only way i could see siccmade fuckin wit some metal type shit is if it was some shit like redrum from doomsday...the only way siccmade workin with korn would be tight is if korn had no input and just played what they were told...str8 up...cuz there musical influence mixin with siccmade would saturate the whole siccmade sound...

overall conclusion...siccmade+korn=not somethin im waitin for

feed the masses and they'll start lovin' what you feed em... rap needs to grow, cause it's the same and stagnating... it ain't got to be metal, as long as it's musical... oh and fuck 3 verses w/ the repetitive chorus.

i heard part of the reason tool took so long
(5 years or so--& y'all bitch at us for delayed releases) to
drop "lateralus" is because their label wanted
them to incorporate the rap/metal genre into
their work. good thing they didn't.

i saw korn the other night here in sac, their bassist lays down some tight basslines that would sound hella nice with some rappin, the 2 songs they did with cube are tight and the tightest shit is when CHino (from deftones) and korn do 'wicked" by ice cube...of the hook on the album and even better live! ... deftones from sac...siccmade from sac... see what im thinkin........
