After about a week and a half of listning to DJs, Mix Shows and industry people.....MSC/Strange Music has decided to push Imma Tell as the new single over I'm A Playa.

The big issue was that Imma Tell is more suited for Urban radio than I'm A Playa was. Personally I think this is a good move. Imma Tell was my favorite song when I first heard Absolute Power so I think this is great. Tech said he had a great concept for either singles video so he's ready for whatever. But now that this has been decided hopefully this will lead to the new video.

Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... Urban radio in NY is much more suited for "Ima playa" than "Imma tell". That "Imma tell" shit has been done by Jay-Z, it was called "Hard knock life", and I hated it then.

For one, that is not a kid on the chorus!!!

For two, "Hard knock life" isn't *ish on "Imma Tell"... From the fast flows to the message in the song... Three, "Imma Tell" aint a thing like Jay-Z's every song squeeky voice samples he throws in and wears the hell out. Not too many people can even match Tech on this. Innovative is what it is, and Tech passes up the already big time competition in five different areas.

When people hear it, they aren't going to say that he's biting, they are gonna say "What the hell, this shit is tight, where the hell has this dude been?" Plus his image thrown in. It's gonna be a whole new level to the rap game once television exposure hits. The red and orange hair isn't going to throw him for a loop, he's gonna be accepted with his image just as Lil' John and his rough look, and I know that people are gonna luv his music and image... "Imma Tell" is gonna be the one that does him right, and since half the damned world hasn't heard his work, it's gonna be like it's a whole new CD... Then afterwards, maybe "I'm a Playa" will surface... Ya know... It'll give new life to Absolute Power...

So Zer0, Jay has worn out the childrens samples and it has been done before, but Tech doesn't fall in that category as "Trick Daddy" "Busta Rhymes" & "Jay-Z"... They used them in a very basic way. Tech rips it, and bites that shit to shreads...

That is not good. I'm a Playa is much more suited to be promoted as a single.

here's what I bet REALLY happened

Strange/MSC probably had 10,000 vinyl copies of the I'm A playa "single" pressed with Imma Tell on the other side....only to realize they put Imma Tell on side A and I'm A Playa as the B-side.

how could they market I'm A Playa, a B-side, as a single!!! they can't...so they switched the singl

one thing that i was thinking about in the shower... no, not that... was if IMMA TELL coems out huge and people accept it, it WILL be compared to Missy Elliots "Work It" because of the reversed chorus/hook line... i can see it now... even though AP was out way before Missy Elliot

funny thing... I'm A Playa is on the A side!! LOL!
