Urbantunes.net is revolutionary in that it is one of the first companies to offer products and services not only directly to the consumer but also to other entertainment industry companies and professionals that may not have the resources, staff, or time to find out where they can get these vital services to help grow their businesses.

What started as a hobby when founder Esequiel Farias was a student at Portland State University has become a full time labor of love. About two years ago, 22 year old Esequiel Farias was a full-time student, full-time employee and a full-time fan of underground hip-hop, Chicano rap in particular. Esequiel was referring his friends and other like-minded fans to some of his favorite music via his Myspace page and word of mouth.
Now Urbantunes.net not only operates their Myspace page (url: myspace.com/urbantunes503) but also their e-commerce site where a fan can buy their favorite CD, t-shirts or hip-hop poster and a professional can get consulting for their project or mastering services or even video production, all with the click of a button and pay it through Paypal. It’s a natural progression.
