I grew up in the Edmonds/Lynnwood area till I was 18 so I'm not to familiar with the Tacoma area. I'm looking for a 1 bedroom 1 bath apartment/town home/condo for right around $700/month give or take $50. I'm getting a civilian job on McChord AFB and would like it to be within about 15 miles of there (Tacoma/Fife/Puyallup) basically in any direction but south. The only things that are important to me are that it has a washer/dryer and a garage for my truck. Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

I know this has nothing to do with music but if I put it in the open forum it would be forgotten about by lunch.

Also if you know any good clubs/bars places to see good local rap shows in that area let me know that kind of stuff to. Are there any metal bars around there? I know of the Whiskey Bar in downtown Seattle but what about Tacoma?

Thanks in advance.

It's all good I feel you, I might be doing the exact same thing in a matter of days in the Dirty South forum. Nobody on the Sicc knows the NW better than us.

As for your question though, I don't know much about Pierce County, I'm a Seattle boy. What I do whenever I move that's helpful is to make a Google Earth .kml file where you can place dots (they're called "placemarks") on the exact spot of all the apartments you find on apartments.com or forrent.com that fit your basic criteria, and then you can color code the placemarks to represent something like cost and input information in the info of the placemark about the amenities it offers. Then, you map where you'll be driving to work every day and other common destinations, and it gives you a nice spatial representation to help w/ the decision. You can even use the aerial photography Google Earth relies on to get a little sense of what the area around it is like.

But that's just me, it didn't really work for me last time in Milwaukee (I ended up living in a shithole) and I'm a nerd.

Xpather206 you should be a mod. Try to make it happen you’re the shit and so unbiased and I say one of the biggest northwest supporters ever.
Whoa whoa I don't know about that, but thanks. I love sports, I love music, and I love my state. So naturally any intersections of those things I'm going to love (my dream, think a Lac of Respect concert at halftime of the NFC Championship game at Qwest Field w/ the Hawks up 21-0).

But I don't make people's lives better, the artists do. I came on here a few years back b/c it could help find more artists instead of just being at the mercy at what they had in the 2 stores I always went to.

And for the unbiased part, that's easy b/c I don't know anybody connected to the NW Hip-Hop scene, I run in different circles, so it's never personal. I just go about my life and listen to the music.

I checked out that place on line and I've decided to say fuck renting an apartment I'm just going to talk to a real estate agent and buy a condo/townhome. Shit's mad expensive down there due to the fact that like 10,000 new army troops have gotten there in the past 2 years oh and they got 25,000 more coming in the next year. So finding open shit is damn near impossible plus for the price of renting I can buy.

Anyone know any good real estate agents in that area?
