I'm a giants fan, but the A's lineup is looking pretty good..

3. Giambi
4. Holliday
5. Cust

that looks pretty burly right there, especially when you add in ellis whos good for 15-20 pops, chavez (if he can stay healthy), and daric barton, assuming he can win a job there..

plus, if the A's sign abreu (as rumored) or maybe dunn or cabrera or crede, then they'd have a helluva lot of power..

btw, its scary to think what billy beane could do if he had a payroll of $100 million..sabean could learn alot from him!

giambi is 37-38 years old. im not too sure "healthy" and him should be in the same sentence. and the short porth in right field in the old yankee stadium helped his numbers. i like the a's but i dont see giambi as the "world series" bound 1 bagger.

if you wants Cust and Giambino in the line up together there is no room for Barton...Giambi is gonna be th everyday 1st basemen and Cust is gonna be the DH assuming they stay healthy...we wont be gettin Abreu now that we signed Giambi... the only player i think we will make a play for is OC...this is how i see the opening day line up assuming everyone is healthy and no more moves are made...
Ryan Sweeney CF
Mark Ellis 2B
Jason Gimabi 1B
Matt Holliday LF

That Holliday signing was good, i wish the giants couldve picked him up, we could use him in the middle of our lineup.

on a side note....
Never really understood the whole Fuck the Giants, Go Dodgers thing that some A's fans got going.. I'm a Giants fan and Fuck both the Angels and Dodgers!

yeah im never rooting for an LA team in anything. but i think they may start barton, thats what Geren's been saying, put Cust in the outfield (fuck that) and keep giambi at dh, rotating barton and giambi at first

I LIKE OUR LINE UP THIS SEASON.

IT'S ONLY RIGHT THAT GIAMBI COMES BACK TO OAKLAND.

NOW IF WE COULD ONLY GET SWISHER BACK
I actually dont think its right that Giambi comes back so he better produce. I felt the same way when Chris Webber came back to the W's for a second.
