should you go with it? I got written up for being 5 freakin' minutes late the other day. Two supervisors pulled me in the office and closed the door. Talked about other shit and cracked jokes for about a minute. I was expecting to get fired, but they was like "You are doing a great job, takin initiative, a very dedicated employee." Whatever. Made me sign a "written warning" letter still for the 5-min. incident even though I bust my ass and stay late as a mug a whole lotta days. Plus, they hired somebody new the other day even though business has been slow with nearly the same shift. I think it's the writing on the wall, plus the job(working in a copy shop)bores me to tears anyways.

They going to harass you hoping you quit since they already hired your replacement and you probably hae to train that person. Just push the limits, be on time and do all the requirements but let them know you are on to them and they will eventually fire you and you can collect on it.

i dont know what the job market is like there...but i say hell nooooo, dont quit.. its to damn hard to find a job and a good one at that.. but if u in a situation where u dont wanna make money, shyt quit

Is that how you qualify for unemployment? How much will they pay? Is it based on how much you're making now and how long you've worked?

If you quit you can't get it...they pay you based on what you were making, and it just went up recently, all you have to do is get a phone interview, and then they send you checks, and you have to fill out some long ass form every two weeks, and make it look like you applied for hella jobs, or had interviews, and you can get it for six months, after which you can apply for an extention...nothing like free money.

Damn that's not bad. I was thinking if I get fired from my job I'll end up homeless. The only bad thinga about getting fired is getting bad references.

^^A lot of companies now dont give references because people have sued companies for slander for giving bad references. Most companies will only verify that you worked there and for how long.

Most companies that will hire you won't even check your references...lucky me...plus you can always make up a fictitious company, make your friend the CEO, and put him as a reference...just make sure you let him know before hand.

i've had my unemployment denied and i got fired.....i appealed and never heard back, then i got a check in the mail for $400, then another letter sayin that the decision was overturned and i had to show up at some hearing with an attorney if i wanted, i opened the letter like a month after the date shown, it was too late....never heard anything again, they'll prolly sue me when im 30 and ask for like 5,000....lol

but most dont deny your unemployment.....they fired me for going on the internet, faking like im working, arguing with customers and searching for another job online, also hanging up on people, it was a bullshit job and i was on my way out anyways soon as i secured another job...I hated it there, i was close to start freebasing coffee to try and stay awake it was so boring....I was selling chemicals to companies and people would call in and ask what Red Phosphurus Dimethanal Triethlene is....what could i say, they didnt give me any chemical training and I was expected to breakdown the DNA of over 1,500 chemicals....wtf?
only thing that they gave me was a catalog that was over 3,000 pages long and supposed to have all the answers , it didnt .

fuck that job.....only thing i learned there was where i could get the materials i need to start a good size meth lab.
