If this is the Giants lineup in '09, how far does it go??

bench: roberts, frandsen, aurilia/phelps, and Winn.

Sabean bolstered the bullpen with affeldt and howry, and more help could possibly be on the way, especially if taschner is included in the possible cain for fielder deal..

I think that lineup could be capable of 85-90 games and the NL west crown..not sure how deep they could go in the playoffs, but I think could make it to the NLCS with some lucky hops here and there..

They would win many more games than this season, that's all I can say ;). But hopefully they can sign Renteria and get Fielder.

at least the giants have a plan and proved that their young players will be something in their careers..

like i said in a previous post, it sucks for dodger fans like you who drank the koolaid because mccourt wanted to reward 20 years of irrelevance with a few months of manny, knowing full well they wont have much of a chance of resigning him, if at all..other than loney and billingsley, who else do you have?

the next few years for the dodgers arent gonna be pleasant ones, mohawk boy

latest rumor now is jonathan sanchez for jorge cantu..

not bad considering cantu is a 3rd baseman who hit 30-95 last season, but that was only one season..

shit the marlins better throw in uggla or annibel sanchez if were givin away jonathan for that little..

This lineup ain't going to produce that many runs. Lewis is not a real lead off hitter. Dunn strikes out too much. Rowand needs to be either at the 2 or 3 hole. Fielder is a waste of money. Renteria is on the decline and is signed as a temporary replacement. We still need to address our bullpen which has improved with the signing of Bob Howry and Aff whatever his name is. If we can get a power bat who can maintain a batter average above .270, we can maybe win 65-70 games. We gotta be able to manufacture runs cuz theres not alot of base stealers on our team. Speed? yes, but that doesnt mean you are a base stealer.

I'm sorry Giants fan but Howry will make your bullpen even worse. All he does is try to paint the outside corner of the plate with his 85 - 89 mph straight fastball. He will either miss and throw it right across the middle of the plate or the batter will adjust after 2 pitches. He is a horrible reliever and you see why.

im with you on that.. Fuckin Howry? thats gotta be the first bad signing of the offseason. Looks like we have another Tyler Walker/Benitez on the squad again.
