Well no other president was handed the country in a worse condition...

Bush has our military completely tapped
Damn near tripled the National Debt
Unemployment up
Economy way down
Housing market in shambles...

In reality it doesn't matter how good Obama or McCain do because the deficits will just take time to repair, if they can be fixed at all...

Ive said all along were fucked either way whoever wins the presidential race. It would just be funnier if Obama loses to see how mad people get, not on here but just to hear how much folks will complain like Obama was gonna change everything

It's not going to be an easy administration. He's pretty much getting sub'd in on his own 5 yard line with 4th & Long. He's not God, he won't create miracles, I hope that he can get the ball rolling in the opposite direction by the time his term is up. The Bush administration has set our country back economically and socially. His ideas are what we need.

Who ever really thinks Obama is going to change there life and fix their problems is a fuckin idiot to begin with.

The only thing that got me thinking today was a discussion on talk radio about the possibility of the democrats gaining control of the presidency, house or senate (don't quite remember).... Who knows the crazy left wing shit they can come up with. But I honestly don't give a shit who wins. The only person who is going to fix my problems is me.....

Doesn't matter. Whichever of them wins will lose in 4 years (unless the Dems get filibuster proof number in the senate - in which case Obama will be able to do all kinds of shit Key being his tax plan - cuz if he can give the middle-lower class a tax cut/refund he'll be a shoe in for re-election).

I mean...his first 4 years will consist of him cleaning of what Bush fucked up in 8 years. People cant realistically expect him to clean up in 4 years, what it took Bush 8 years to fuck up.

ok, this is exactly what i have contemplated and thoroughly discussed with others.
now, considering that the majority of Americans are not happy with the troops in iraq, and the whole Bush administration, then IF McCain wins, then everyone will be expecting only a lil bit better than what Bush has done, they will expect bare minimum in change. McCain's whole deal is national defense, etc. so we know that we will continue to invade other countries, and advance our space defense systems. If something crazy happens like a total meltdown of the economy, then it will be already a known outcome for the majority of americans who are not dependent on the national defense employment agencies. Now, people will be less likely to revolt in mass numbers because they will feel just like Bush's re-election, "oh well, we chose him we have to deal w/ it"

Now, if Obama wins, then if the same thing happens, complete meltdown of economy, american 'way of life' etc. and shit is going bad, then people will be entirely pissed, and there is a much larger chance of a large revolt, especially because he promised change and a better future. Now, through this people will have to come to realizations of what is truly important, how they are going to grow as individuals and as a country. And a national(maybe global, i dunno) shift of consciousness will occur, if this would situation ensued.

those are just my own ideas and assumptions of how we could change our lives through the destruction of what we think is good for us(lol well siccness hates the gov. but i'm sayin most americans semi-trust governments for basic well being)

anyone have thoughts or revisions of this through there own ideas?

i do understand where you are coming from, and i do share similar views on the subject. Im looking for the whole destruction of the way things are run, and it has to come from the people.
Recently i was lookin forward to ron paul winning, strictly because the strength of the backlash by the people will be stimulated by the amount of faith and trust they had in their leader and in "change".

now i see that in obama, and im just tryin to look beyond the next few chapters.
