My auntie fucked me over a couple of years ago. A huge $ amount was involved. Im not gonna get into details but since this shit happened, it makes family gatherings difficult.

My cousins say "its just money. Family is family." I can dig that but its the principle. I will forgive if it was a mistake or an accident but stealing is deliberate and is not forgiven in my book.

Anyone been in this situation?

My cousin stole $100 from me in increments of $50. One day he came over, chilled played some video games, later that night, I noticed I was $50 short. I had a stash of money and thought that I may have mis counted.

So he comes over around the sametime a few weeks later... he leaves after playing and I notice $50 gone again. He's already left by the time I notice.

Then this mf comes over again (to hit me for another $50). I was about to beat him up, but then he called his momma, and his momma was finna call the police so I let him go. Haven't seen the thief since...

I forgive but I don't forget.

yea I would forgive and forget about it. cause to me that forgive but never forget shit is stupid. If you dont forget about it then you dont really forgive people. cause it will always be in the back of your mind what that person did and when some shit they do pisses you off, your quick to bring up what you supposedly forgave em for and you end up taking back your forgiveness. so I say forgive and forget. plus in this case it depends on how much money and what they used it for but most likey I would forgive em cause whats money anyway? family will always be more important than anything so I would lend my family money if they really needed it so I dont think this would ever be an issue for me

oh of coarse not but then again I never leave money jusr laying around
I had my cash stash in the closet. My cousin would come over in the morning right before I would get in the shower.... So I'm guessing he found it while I was in the shower (and then tried to make it a habit by coming over around the same time). He had to be searching and going through my shhh while I wasn't in the room to find out where my stash was at.... what a punk. I was going to beat him down but my homie told me not to because he was on the phone with his momma and dudes like that will go to court on you.

It wasnt very family-like for her to steal from you. Really, you're the only one that can make the call to forgive or not. How has this Aunt treated you in the past? Are you real tight? How much money was stolen? Has she confessed to stealing and said anything about paying you back? Alotta factors here that only you know breh.

I would agree how close you are wit that particular family, like Im closer wit 1 cousin than the other. Honestly I may let it go but I look down on them from that point.
