If a black family buys a robot child (like in A.I.) will it be "programmed black"?

If i bought a robot child, life like as a real boy to love you and be like a real child, would i have an option to download a race profile chip for it: INCLUDING how to act, what to find funny on t.v., which color humans to mimic at school and who to hang out with, what kind of clothes to like, etc...... Same options for a family of a different race. Or would these robots be universal for all races? :eyecross:

What are you saying? These robots won't ever exist because Blight asked if there would be racial profiles for them? He didn't make a stamenet anywhere in his post, he simply asked a question.

Assuming it is possible to make these machines, and that it will inevitably occur at some point in the future...

I think there would be different colored robots, but to impliment some kind of "BLACK" robot recognition system would be somewhat impossible. I don't think personality wise that there will be much of a difference, nor do I think there should be. They should program them to be the ideal child or person, one with no prejudice or any way of forming hatred for another. You cannot impliment a soul into a machine. Different colors, yes. Different personalities, maybe. But to try and attract it to another robot because of it's skin color is not going to happen.

Ok, thankyou for clarifying that, and I completely agree.

Perhaps we can just make all dolls and future robots GREEN. It sounds funny, but wouldn't that be a step further in releaving color barriers from our young children?
