it's been about 10 years since that album came out, and if you re-listen to it, it's some of the hardest shit ice cube ever put out. not so much politicly, but just as far as gangster rap goes, ice cube was fucking VICIOUS on every track! the production was awsome too. he was rapping like an ego-maniac and obsessed with greed and stuff, the whole album had a dark feeling to it, and had that english narrator guy and also had mr. short khop saying a few lines all over the album. great concept album, great production, great ice cube.

I NEVER EXPECTED LAUGH NOW CRY LATER TO BE SO GOOD, ESP. CONSIDERING THE TIME IT CAME OUT.

THAT WAS VINTAGE CUBE, ESP. IN A TIME WHERE RAP WAS REALLY INA STRUGGLE, HE CAME THRU. SERIOUSLY, LISTEN TO IT AGAIN SLAPPPPPPS ALL THE WAY THRU. THAT IS ONE OF THE MOST SLEPT ON RAP ALBUMS... HE PUT IT OUT INDEPENDANT BUT IT STILL DID HELLA GOOD.

I FELL IN LOVE WITH THAT ALBUM THE FIRST TIME THRU

WAR AND PEACE HAD SOME COOL LIL HOLOGRAMS, BUT WASNT THAT GREAT

im suprised so many people dont like war and peace vol 1, i didnt like the peace disc that much, but the war album is one of my favorites, i felt like lyricly and delivery it was on another level. im not saying its the most groundbreaking thing ice cube ever did, but i'd atleast call it a classic album. give it another listen, it might change your mind. laugh now cry later was cool too, but not my favorite, maybe it'll grow on me though

when I first heard w&p vol. 1 I was like whatever, but i started listening to it again, and even though everythang on their aint a classic almost every track slaps like a mufucka.

That cd is far from classic, its closer the the garbage disposal. I gave up on Ice Cube after those two bullshit albums. I mean to come with that bullshit after droppin nothin but 10s was sad.

i think almost all of ice cubes albums are classic, the only one i thought was "decent at best" was the peace disc. laugh now cry later, and raw footage are cool, but i wouldnt say classic....yet. terrorist threats was good, but i need to listen to it again. the war disc is definatly another classic though, to me at least. the production on it is the type of thing you can listen to over and over and notice something new each time, and ice cube had more intensity than usual in his delivery, i dont know if he was just doing hella coke or what, but he was on some bigger than life ego-maniac don mega shit.

i havent really felt any cube album since lethal injection (if you wanna include westside connection bow down, then ok, that shit is a masterpiece), but war and peace were let downs, and LNCL and raw footage had 1 or 2 tracks i can listen too..
