So recently I was waiting with a friend in a parking lot to meet up with some girls. There wasn't much there except a gamestop so we wondered in. I ended up buying Onechanbara because it was only a 10 spot. The disc was kind of scratched up but the guy at the counter assured me I had 30 days if it fucks up and 7 if I didn't like it. Well I take it home and it's functional but choppy and the cut scenes don't play correctly. So yesterday I had to go to the bank and do some other running around, figured I might as well try to exchange it for a better copy. Of course they didn't have one but the guy at the counter was helpful and didn't pester me with 50 preorder requests so I looked around and bought the following all for 60$:

Assassin's Creed
Turok
Lost Planet Colonies Edition
Bullet Witch
Perfect Dark
Juri Fightpad

So I've always dug Assassin's Creed. I don't think any one needs me to expand on that.

Turok. Okay, I loved the 64 games and then pretty much everything after that has been complete crap. However fond memories get to me and I always give Turok another chance. This time it really paid off! I'm loving this game. It's very nostalgic of the first N64 game and beyond that it has surprisingly good graphics.

I was expecting Bullet Witch to be absolutely horrendous but it wasn't half bad. Fairly decent and fun but totally needs to be sped up a notch.

Perfect Dark Zero cost 1.99, so that about sums that up.

Haven't tried Lost Planet out yet.

The Juri fightpad. Now this thing is awesome. Works like a dream. I bought it with friends in mind because I use stick and the xbox pad sucks, but wow this thing functions nicely. Highly recommended.

Turok for 360 was fun, it just suffered from a couple huge design mistakes. You will know what I am talking about when you get to the spider tank boss

The only reason I ever defend them is because I have friends that work at a local gamestop, but...

The whole pre-order thing isn't really their fault. They lose their jobs if they don't get enough pre-orders or subscription sales. They take that shit seriously in the management. I had a friend lose his job because he switched his own pre-order from the hellghast edition of Killzone 3 that he never picked up to a couple other games. They thought he was trying to cheese his numbers, but he did it without thinking. He even offered to have them take those two off of his account, but they just fired him.

60 seems like a lot for those titles.

Oh and Kirb is right... They don't want to pester you. But if they don't they'll literally be fired. It's a retail thing.

whats fucked up too is that my boy said that when they pre-order the employee who did it gets the points or whatever but when someones cancels the person who does the canceling gets hurt..not the original one who got the pre-order.

Nah, the cancel doesn't affect anyone, according to the people I know at gamestop. If you wanted, you could stand there and pre-order, cancel, pre-order over and over and the person would keep getting points. They would also get fired, because it looks like they're cheating the system.

Yessir. That's one of the reasons that I pre-order 99% of my games at GameStop. (To help my friends out).
