not hating Celly Cel was really dope for his time, and helped pave the way for Bay Area rap

but $2500 for a verse or $1750 for a hook is way to much for him. I just thought it was funny, i respect the man, if he can get that money for a verse fine

to me guest spots are for 2 reasons.. its an Investment into your CD, so more people buy it, and i believe like any investment your goal should be to double that money.... and Celly Cel i doubt would make you $5000, or gain much...

other opition is just really want to do a song with a person, and don't care if you get that money back... then thats ok

what you think, about some of the prices on the sicc shop? most of them are pretty cool... Brotha Lynch is hella expensive too

i dont know if celly can double your money but alot of people would pick up a cd with celly on it. anything celly spit is hard. he still come as good or better then he used to. he is one rapper that aint fell off in the bay

yea least Celly had some albums, 2 classics in my opinon

but its funny how they pick there price, its all how much you feel your worth... and hope someone feels your worth the same, and pays you to rap for them

Celly Cel is one of the few that sticks to his $2500 new album or not. It may be steep for the average but hey... he's a pioneer and with over 1 million albums sold he's few and far between in the Bay.

yall may think that's steep, i agree, but he gets people to pay that much, i know that for a fact, if they can afford it and want to work with him, that's on them if they choose to pay that much, like people said, celly cel is a bay area boss, he helped put us on, so it really comes down to the artists/labels now if they wanna pay him that much, but he is pulling that kind of money

The goal is for the future to pay for itself.
Help you to move units and get your career established or more established!

The priceless thing that this artist gives you is the acclaim, I worked with Celly, 40, B-Legit, and so on!

That is priceless!


The question should be if I'm going thru a distribution getting 8 dollars a c.d how many c.d do i have to sell to pay for the artist ?

Celly Cel say what was it 2500.00 well at 8$ a c.d you must think how many sell would you have to get to get that money back. Just off the top of my head i guess you would have to sell about 310 c.d's to pay for that appearance and its up to you as a company to decide whether it is worth it!


As an artist its alot different try close to 4000 sales to pay for that feature. It is more realistic for a label then an artist as you can see!


I think Celly is more then worth it, not only is he good people and the homie but like somebody else said has the same heat he had back in the day!

I'm ah be working with him in the near feature!


Now about others!


I say it like this new fresh artist probably should start off charging between 3-5 hundred!

One album moved a few units cool fan base between 8-12 hundred!


more established and rep! between 1500-3000$

The yukmouths and 40's could get you from 3500-10,000 dollars



So respect game and pay us what we feel were worth if not then somebody will. Plus most likely if you can't afford to pay then the track was gonna be cheap recorded cheap and sound horrible anyway because you cheap!

Tre8 you have a good way of looking at it... i can see it as an Investment to future albums to come

and V Dizzel - thats a point to, i think they might leave that 2500 -3000 price to weed out non-serious fucks... but if they know you, or know you have some heat brewen' up, sure they'd proablly drop prices
